Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Pro tips and tricks?
Just bought one.
>ITT I install arch
>Boot up media
>h-hang on guys its broken
If you install arch and fail, the only person you have to blame is yourself for failing to install it.
Its called a hobbyist distro for a reason, fucktard.
okay, installing base
Is a CS degree a meme degree?
Am I gonna be replaced by a pajeet?
According to my professor by 2020 there will be 1.5 million jobs open with only like 750k people working them so It won't be hard to get a job.
But obviously a software engineer isnt gonna get replaced by a robot like all the other jobs.
What do /g/?
what are the "must have" apps for osx?
>>new to macfag community
homebrew, then pick from this stuff.
>XtraFinder/TotalFinder is a far better than Apple's shitty Finder and builds upon it to give you more options and make it not crap.
>Get yourself BetterTouchTools if you use a real Mac trackpad.
>Learn the terminal, you won't regret it.
>Using the terminal? Get Prezto or Oh-My-Zsh already.
>Get yourself Homebrew and Cask. Loads of interesting and useful tools there.

>Arch creator looks like turbonormie
Explain this, faggots.
Alright /g/ I just got a z3 to upgrade my z2 since I needed something good for <500$ and a solid battery life. What apps (bloatware) should I get rid of as it is either inferior to free apps online or useless in practice. Also any tips on what to do when you first start using a Sony phone is appreciate.
>inb4 Motorola or some other China Chang brand
>inb4 get rid of all the bloatware stoopid
I want to hear constructive criticism/help not shitposts.
Running Marshmallow nighties and haven't ran into a problem yet. There can be hiccups but usually they're fixed pretty quick when they surface. They just came out with a stable a few days ago.
But I'm sure you're happy with your 3rd Party bloat™
What does /g/ use to program?
Text editor or IDE?
I'm a junior studying CS, and I just got my first internship offer ever. It's $7500 a month! Like, wtf is this industry? Are we headed for a crash?
Why does Windows have to be so fucking obnoxious about its updates?
>dials home to remote servers
>executes remote code from remote servers
>takes over your system like malware
>advertises """""updates""""" like adware
>writes """""keys""""" to your firmware
>trojan horse and keylogger
welcome to the botnet
>time for your routine information sweep!
>oh what's this?
>a 4chan post with the word nigger in it?
>and the 24h surveillance has a video of you masturbating infront of the passive camera?
>sorry but that's a cybernetic fellony
>off to jail!
So is there any point in keeping these anymore? What with muh cloud storage, huge USB storage, and even using them as loaders as well.
They're durable, fairly cheap, and if you use an erasure code across a couple of them you can get very reliable data storage.
Blurays I'm much less sure about. They cost WAY too much, despite not being new anymore.
Bruhs, I'm really really thinking about going for one of these pci-e to m.2 adapter setups. That speed is just so incredible. I could open muh gaymes in less than two seconds. I could boot in 1 second.
Am I about to fall for a meme?
Boot and gayme loading speed is mostly bottlenecked by the CPU regardless of what your SSD is (unless it's a total piece of crap). You aren't likely to feel difference compared to a good SATA SSD.
Do you keep your hardware boxes?
top tier professional animation software is going to be open sourced and /g/ doesn't even talk about it
it's like you hate freedom
Any /g/entooman modded his gpu fan?
Been thinking about replacing my gtx760 fans with 92mm ones, for scientific research of course, but I was wondering how it will handle the case fans' (surprising) lower power draw.
The 760 uses 2 pwm fans rated at 0.35A, when case fans are rated around half of that (0.15-0.2A). What I can't find out is, in the graphics card's specific case, power delivery is adapted for the fan (theoretically 0.1A at 50%, 0.2 at 100%, and so on), or if it's hard locked for the original fan requirements.
>no adapter what so ever directly to usb
Fucking western digital
