Holy shit, just switched form Arch to Gentoo last week and I'm amazed. Everything is so easy, and it just works. Portage is fantastic, I can get everything done that I need without breaking everything. I almost never have to touch my system.
Why haven't you switched to Gentoo yet, /g/?

welcome to life. It's shit. Working in a field will suck dry whatever passion you had for it sooner or later.

What GNU/Linux distro do you use and why?
Get it in whatever flavour. Or do a netinstall and install whatever DE/WM you desire. I use cinnamon, it's sensible and mostly does what I expect, and there are good themes - the default looks a bit childish.
What is the worst distro you have ever used?

Why are GNU/Linux program and filenames so autistic? Like a text editor called fucking vi. How do people remember the purpose of all these arbitrary combinations of letters?
Just a reminder /g/ if you use the terminal you are a TERRORIST:
From the article
>> One of the terrorists pulled out a laptop, propping it open against the wall, said the 40-year-old woman. >>When the laptop powered on, she saw a line of gibberish across the screen: “It was bizarre — he was looking at a bunch of lines, like lines of code. There was no image, no Internet,” she said. Her description matches the look of certain encryption software, which ISIS claims to have used during the Paris attacks
Which begs the question: is there a way to make terminal run inside a browser and look like a website? Like a news article?
That'd be pretty cool.
I assume some kind of self-hosted dynamic website that runs a terminal emulator in the background?
