You are now aware that the Arch logo is a fat manchild sitting in front of partially drawn curtains.
>it's also his penis

Yeah, but it's about to pierce into a sopping wet and ready female hole.
>>53653298

I remember a while ago people on /g/ were kinda getting excited over some sort of receiver you could get on ebay that picked up on all sorts of police frequencies and shit. Anyone remember?
You mean this?
Go to one of the chinese websites, they're $8.
Then follow an instructable or whatever.
>>53653106

hey /g/ i would like your input on something, i have an fiio x1 which i use regularly though it has had a fe w hiccups such as its rubber wheel falling apart. desu the fiios build quality is shit and i want a device that feels more sturdy and premium i was thinking of buying a ipod classic 5.5 80gb off a friend for $75 and rock boxing it. Im not a huge audiophile but i do own a pair of ath m50x.
what im asking is would what would i loose or gain form making the switch would my headphone be to high quality for the ipod to power?

any help is good help.
>>53652860
i think you can drive those with a external power supply like this one
http://www.amazon.com/FiiO-E6-Portable-Headphone-Amplifier/dp/B005HJWWW8?ie=UTF8&keywords=fiio&qid=1458787270&ref_=sr_1_3&sr=8-3
i dont really know if that may be the best one but it shoudl do the job
>>53652860
Ath m50s don't require much to run, the drivers are sensitive. Sorry to hear the X1s build quality is shit, I have a 1st gen X3 and the things solid as hell. Basically an aluminum brick.
So /g/, I'm hunting for Software Dev jobs right now and I've run into something of an issue. Technical interviews. These things are all my own personal nightmare. When people timebox me into an hour to solve some weird fucking problem my brain just craps out. I've had at least 6 so far and all have ended in "Thanks for your interest". How do I come to solutions for algorithmic problems faster and cleaner?
Should I just go sit down and do a million of them?
git gud

Microsoft basically just paid millions and spents hundreds of thousands of hours only to create a pseudo-intelligent shitposting machine. This is fucking great. 2016 really is an amazing year so far.
how can i unbotnet my life? ive never cared about privacy and have pretty much used shitload of google products, fb, etc and have signed up to shitload of websites. how do i debotnet my life?
You don't.
It's too late, the system has you.
You can't. Just suck it up and go with the flow until society finally figures out that spying on people isn't ethical. Just make sure you speak out about it.
I'm building a computer, what graphics card should i get. I have around $500 aus to spend.
>inb4 memecard
Wait for Pascal to release and buy a 980 ti.
Spending any more than US$100 on a videocard is fucking retarded. Stop playing shitty moviegames with shit gameplay, that's all games that require overblown, overheating, overpriced, expensive as fuck graphics cards are.
>>53652440
nah more than US$200-300 is retarded
Help me, I am brainwashed by the botnet.
Give up, anon.

Hi, Guys I need help. The "IT" Guy in my aunts place bill them with this Invoice, a 30 minutes google search told me that the System Unit only cost around 300$. What do you think is the estimate for this computer? Am I right?
>>53651625
Yeah, beat the shit out of the guy who sold that piece of shit to your aunt.
lmao
>>53651625
The software probably cost more than all of the hardware combined. Enjoy being a Microcuck.
So, I currently own a Titan X and a 780 Ti.
What would you suggest me to survive until 2017 Bigchip releases?
Bonus info: I'm playing at 4K on a Gsync screen
Sell the Titan X and save the money for a 1080Ti? Or is a 980 Ti SLI worth it?
considering the 1080 regular little chip will be 980 ti performance +5-10%, 980 ti sli should provide you with the same performance as a big chip "1080 ti."
the 680 was roughly 30-40% (40% on only a few) faster than the 580.) (http://www.anandtech.com/bench/product/1348?vs=1350)
we are comparing successors here. I.E. the 680 was the 580 successor
remember the 1080 is the successor to the 980. NOT the 980 ti. that's the 1080 ti's job
1080 being roughly 30 - 40% faster than the 980 (which would put it equal to or 10% greater than the 980 ti.
the "x70" has traditionally been 10 - 20% lower than the "x80" counterpart. this goes all the way back to the 6xxx series. I.E. the 6800gt...

i think a lot of people forget about the last die shrink is that there wasn't a "ti" card in the mix. the 580 was the fastest single gpu solution on the market for nvidia. it was nvidia's single solution flagship, top dog. yes they had the 590 but it was NOT a single gpu card. it was a dual gpu card on a single pcb.
the 600 series? same exact thing. 680 was the top dog for a single gpu solution. not only that but both the 570, 580, 670, and 680 were the "big chips." they were...

I want to build a small file server (few TB) for my apartment so myself and my roommates can access movies, shows, porn and shit without the fucktards getting my internet turned off for poor torrenting practices.
Do I need a setup with Windows Server 2003 or whatever, or can I just plug it into the router and have them connect through their PC's?
Would a Windows Server rig give me any perceivable benefits or control for my purposes?
>>53651279
setup what's called a samba share and you can get windows, mac, and linux on it
>>53651279
use linux, and plex
What about NAS?
GPU Trouble Thread /GTT/
Post your worst experiences with GPU's.
Be as objectively about it as possible.
Don't forget to mention your exact card, aswell as the vendor being used.
I'll start.
i recently got an Asus 260X very cheap, just to find out, you can't run it with the latest Crimson drivers, but instead, only with their proprietary drivers on their website, which are way outdated and won't even provide FreeSync support.
This is probably the fault on Asus themselves rather than the card but really, why would i want a card to not get the best out of it?

That's pretty easy, AMD's Crossfire support. It's fucking terrible.

It works. I use it at work to get around the nazi IT faggots. Dumb faggots.
is it actually private?
What desktop environment should I be using?
The one you like.
Next person!
the one you use, worst one is that one you used once and didn't get it
Doesn't matter. They all suck.
