I've been experiencing some right wrist is pain recently and I'm not sure if it's because of my mouse. I got a Logitech MX Master 3 months ago and my wrist has been hurting for about a month. I play violin professionally so wrist pain is something that I need to avoid. Does anyone have any suggestions for mice and or wrist support objects that well help prevent wrist pain. Thanks everyone.
Pic related, it's my current mouse.

Wrist pain is normal / expected when you switch to a different mouse, especially if the grip/sensor placement are significantly different from your original mouse. If it persists, try switching to a trackball mouse. You can get a solid trackball for next to nothing.
If you do switch to a trackball, avoid using thumb-ball mice, they're not as precise as you would expect, and the wrist pain is much more persistent. If you really want to use a thumb-ball, buy it from amazon so you have the opportunity to replace it.
I've been using a CST for maybe 10 months or so and I've been loving it. I grew up using a trackball, so that might have something to do with why they're so comfortable. Either way, give it a shot, or continue using your current mouse until the wrist pain dies down.
Also, you don't want to get a wrist wrest, it promotes unhealthy posture.

I have never had wrist pain as a result of my mx master and i have never had any problems with it. 10/10 solid product

Nice trips. Also, I do love the mouse and would recommend it to most people. I have a weird connective tissue disorder so most mice hurt my wrist.
How much pain did you felt the first time you installed linux?
For me it was a 4.
I'm not a technological retard and I am capable of following instructions, so 0.
0 because I never wen't away from Windows.

First distro that i installed was Ubuntu so 0.
Macfag here, just installed new HDD in macbook pro, wacoms legacy driver page is down. By any chance anyone got the drivers for the Graphier3 CTE-630? Much appreciated.

Hey /g/. I'm looking into upgrading my monitor to something nice. I'd like to get something with high hz, like 144hz or something, but I have no idea what to look for when it comes to monitor hardware vendors seeing as I've always just used more or less hand me down monitors, or whatever was cheapest. Does it matter? Is BENQ worth the price?
I recently got XB270HU with TN panel. I was worried about backlight bleed, but it turned out not as bad as reviews said. 144 Hz at 1440p sure looks great.
What's the deal with g sync/free sync and all that? Does that mean if I buy a 144hz monitor that doesn't have that tech I'll have to have my games running consistently at 144 fps or I'll get screen tearing or stuttering like if you drop below 60 fps?
>>53598706
Vsync free of any input lag or delay at almost any framerate.
FreeSync if you have AMD
Gsync if you have Nvidia.

SHEKELIM. THEY GOT YOURS, GOYM.
Are there any good file search program for Windows 7?
The built-in search sucks. I was using this program called filesearchEX and it worked really well, but it requires a license and my free trial ran out.
>>53595793
It's not stupid because there aren't any easy answers.
>>53595757
you want a program called "Everything".
There is a growing trend in which there are several generations living under one roof, something not as uncommon in other parts of the world.
In what ways do you think these new living arrangements will affect new, everyday technology that will come out in the future?
Also, assuming you are tech savvy and currently living in this arrangement, will you assist the way your family uses this technology? If so, what kind of accommodations would you create or use?
>>53595724
QUICK! Someanon, post the pasta with the locked away laptop!
>>53595760
I don't understand what that means but the type of living arrangement I'm referring to is a mostly functional one in which you have adults, elderly, and young er ones cohabiting, lifting several types of burdens for each other. A primary burden being a financial one. People can afford more living together. Will tech become more expensive? Will it become less individualized? Maybe new applications and platforms for social or financial services with bigger families in mind?

It would put more pressure and their Internet as everyone secretly browse the same porn video sites at the same time, this problem can be fixed if the whole family used just one pc to watch porn and all watched at the same time, thus freeing up a throttled connection and creating a quality family time moment.

The time has finally come for me to learn to program.
No, not that stuff that code monkeys think they can do, but legit learn to program so that I can make my own indie game.
As I understand, such a project requires knowledge of Mathematics, such as Algebra.
Are there any good books I can order from amazon that would provide me with the knowledge I need? How much algebra am I required to learn?
Thanks for any help you can give me.

Hey guys, I've been looking into smd and smt stuff (I've only worked with through hole circuitry) and was wondering about resistors. Do they make smt resistors as efficient or with the same resistance as through hole. I know that I might sound retarded but the size thing is throwing me off. pic almost related?
>>53595206
>led vs smd
it makes no fucking sense
>led vs smd
I think you mean
led vs smd led,
also I dont see why they wouldn't make smd resisters that are equal to through hole ones, though they might not be able to handle as many watts
(do your research tho, shit will get you a long way)

Sup /g/, how can I prevent Raptr from being installed with AMD drivers?
I manage computers for my college newspaper. About 20 people have access to the computers (single user account, there are cases where people need to admin), and most of the computers have AMD graphics cards.
If I turn my back for a week, someone will get the driver update notification, click through the installer, and Raptr will be on the machine. How can I keep Raptr away?
Just uncheck the little box.
>>53595167
I know that, but the other 19 people who use the computers and have been told to uncheck it, will not do it.
>>53595135
I feel really bad for your college newspaper if you're managing their computers.
What device best compliments the ThinkPad and it's user? Specifically a device that stands at the 'ThinkPad Intersection' of price, power, and longevity.
Nexus 5? Moto X? Galaxy? *gulp* iPhone?
What do you think, anon?
a real thinkpad user would never use botnet trash
>>53594963
Something like an old flipphone piece of shit, to compliment your plastic piece of shit
I've been thinking about this and the best answer is the Moto X, G, E. IBM & Google both sold important brands to lenovo. IBM sold them the thinkpad and IBM PC. Google sold them Motorola and the Moto lineup which was created under their ownership. ( if you remember the droid was the flagship for Motorola but it was changed to Moto because market research said droid was too masculine ) So get a Moto. Moto + Thinkpad = boner

just got mullvad because it seems pretty fucking private (don't keep records, don't comply with anyone), but can't post to various sites because it uses a shared ip :(
didn't realize there was a difference until i already paid for a couple months (derp, oh well $15)
NordVPN looks alright. will they sell me out the second a govt comes knocking?
suggestions on good/super-anonymous vpns with dedicated IPs?
bump
>>53594811
I use nordvpn, it's alright.
Why don't people just rent VPS instead and host their own VPN?
