What does /g/ think of the Iridium web browser? I know we're all a tad short of options in regards to a browser we all like but this seems satisfactory when compared to the likes of Firefox, Chrome etc.
And yes, I know that it is based off the Chromium source-code.
Their website for reference: https://iridiumbrowser.de
If you know it's based off the botnet why even ask /g/?
You should know by now what the typical responses would be.
Also how is the customization? If it's not better than vivaldi then its shit
Why should I use it?
Comodo Dragon doesn't like torrents and 4chan anymore, and Firefox is absolutely shit.
I have it right now. Pretty much only use it for 4chan because appchan x runs like shit on firefox.
I don't consider it a great browser. It's just a "safe" old version of chrome. Some extension don't work because it says "you're using an outdated version of chrome, please upgrade"
as today, what is the best player/settings our there?

Any tips on data recovery for a flash drive? The light on the drive flashes on for a second when its first plugged in, but the computer doesn't recognize it in device or disk manager. I've peeled off the casing and the solder joints look fine. Anything else to try besides sending it off somewhere specialized?
>>53671129
try it on a linux machine
burn a live CD, boot it up, open a terminal, run "lsblk"
see the drives that appear, then connect your usb, run "lsblk" again, see if it appears.
>>53671153
Was getting ready for that. Got a Kali cd right next to me. Wasn't aware of that command, thanks.

Are these good medium quality presets?
Is there more/less I should be doing?
>webmffmpeg -i input.wmv -c:v libvpx -vb 1400K -pix_fmt yuv420p -c:a libvorbis -ab 320k -qmin 4 -qmax 52 -crf 25 -quality good -cpu-used 2 -deadline realtime output.webm
>mp4ffmpeg -i input.wmv -c:v 1400K libx264 -profile:v baseline -strict experimental -c:a aac -ab 320k -qmin 4 -qmax 52 -crf 25 -quality good -cpu-used 2 -preset superfast output.mp4
>>53670699
>-pix_fmt yuv420p
not needed, that's automatic
sounds about right for medium quality, the bitrate for the audio is a bit high, though
>>53670768
those bitrates can be adjusted, im just wondering about all the other options
is libvorbis automatic?
>>53670807
depends on the version of ffmpeg, the one I'm using has opus as default so you better still call vorbis, to be sure
never heard of -deadline realtime, though
Is Lunascape any good? I heard a few things about it on another board and it sounded too promising.
I assume bad.

Okay. Fuck it. You got me. I didn't want to say so because I feared just mentioning it could get me global rule 15 banned.
To put it simply the _____ fandom has made some browsers into 'characters' personfied them if you will. We joked around with one of those hexafusion templates and put the personified characters of Internet Explorer, Firefox and Chrome together. No one has made it but someone suggested Lunascape because it had 3 engines, similar to 3 browsers.

I love music. I listen to music usually throughout my day, in my car, or using my 5th generation iPod Touch. I have several questions that I think you guys could help me out with. I know FLAC is high quality, but what do I use to play it? In portable form where I'm able to use it throughout my day. Any advice would be great. I'm usually listening Hip-Hop or Metal, if that helps.
Pic is Bones, my favorite artist at the moment.

To me, that's quite a good thing actually.

If it were 720 I would consider it, but apple actively looks for ways to fuck things up even in the slightest ways to keep me from wanting to try their products.
I would have seriously overlooked the lack of expandable memory, but they just had to use a shit screen resolution to piss me off.
Fuck those guys.
Are any of you fine /g/entoomen getting anything other than a blank page when you navigate to https://www.google.com/android/beta ?
I'm looking to unenroll my Pixel C from the N developer preview but I cannot. I don't want to unlock and flash it either. Google support is absolutely no fucking help and just wasted an hour of my time.
ya it's blank
>>53670463
Damn. I tried contacting support and they were shuffling me around. I didn't want them to fix the problem, just let the right people know. I wonder how long it's been like that.
YOU CANT LEAVE
How can i fix my WD HDD?
I was at my retard stoner friends house and he knocked it off his TV cabinet and it fell about 50cm onto the ground and now it wont show up on my computer even though the light on the HDD comes on and i can hear the disc spinning inside it and my computer makes the usual noises when i connect and disconnect it but it doesnt show up.
>>53670305
it's fucked
Open Disk Management, if it shows up in there then the file structure is fucked - use Recuva and hope for the best. Otherwise, crack the case open, hope the connections aren't soldered to a board, get a cheap SATA to USB adapter, and waste some time trying to find a good angle. Or if you have a few weeks to kill, use Raw Copy (Hirens Boot CD) and forget that you have a computer.
>>53670305
Wow, Patrick! Way to tell the world I'm a retarded stoner. Go to hell and your not welcome at my house ever again.
Should I buy this or the Apple ][? I'm a poorfag who just wants to dick around all day playing games and learning BASIC. Also want to know if it's possible to use a USB floppy drive with some kind of adapter. A complete C64 would break my bank, so I want to take the miser's way out and spend as little money as possible sacrificing authenticity for results.
Neither, holy shit get a job
just emulate. you dont want that old shit stuff taking up space.
>>53670322
I have lots of free space on this table, plus you don't get the same feeling with emulation.
Could anyone tell me if this pen would work on my Surface Pro 3?
http://www.amazon.com/Ultra-sensitive-Dual-Purpose-Micro-Knit-Technology-touchscreen/dp/B00H8ZJ97A/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_product_top?ie=UTF8
I know surface has swapped to N-Trig rather than wacom, and the description says it will work but for $7 I'm sort of skeptical.
If not anyone recommend a cheap stylus? The standard Microsoft one is $30...
It will but it will suck. Get a real Windows one for palm support
>>53670954
I have arch on it though...
Any of the windows features I don't care about. I just want to draw with it.
It is a regular capacitive stylus. It will work on pretty much any touch screen, the same as your finger.
My old mouse seems to have come to it's end after over 8 years and it's now time to get new one. I'm looking for some durable mouse with more than just one or two extra buttons as I mostly play MMORPGs.
Pretty much all Razer mouses are out of question. I have pretty small hands so the mouse cant be really huge.
Look at Logitech. They are pretty good. I'd recommend a g600 because 12key macro with shift function, but it's a rather large mouse.
Rip in peace ops mouse
>>53669990
It's pretty good, but rather large.
My computer is having trouble with WiFi. It says its connected, but I cannot connect to anything that requires an internet connection.

Hi /g/,
I impulsed bought picture related after seeing it marked down in a local store. After some research I found mostly negative reviews and experiences from owners. This has made me hesitant about cracking open the seals and starting my build. Anyone here run with this on their machine? Did I goof?
>>53668980
It's a great motherboard, but Asus has a few problems with QC. Test all of the features on the board, if it's defective, RMA it.
>>53669004
sound advice, thanks anon.
>>53668980
Great board, most people who leave bad reviews usually broke it on their own. It is most likely an issue of babbys first mobo and they fucked it up and decided to blame the product.
