this is technically the beginning of open source hardware for consumers and /g/ doesn't even talk about it:

Open source hardware has been around for years.

Nothing special about cad files for a shitty controller for a dead console
Clones were already being sold out of China before it was released
is there really such a thing as Ethical hacking?

Yes
Hey guys! I tried doing some stuff on cmd, but I didn't get it to work so I thought I'd ask for some guidance here, even though the rules say not to (badass). So in the drawing with incorrect dimensions, I tried showing you where I want my WiFi to reach. So the thing is that in the blue circle, that's where my neighbours WiFi reaches (he let me use it), and there the signal stops. And what I want is for it to reach all the way to my bedroom, in the green circle. So I thought that maybe I could use my PC that's connected to the WiFi as sort of a router(?)...

and this is what shows up. now on my PC in the bedroom, I can connect to this PC's WiFi connection, but it says that there's no internet connection. The signal is strong and everything, but what am I doing wrong?....
If anyone is able to help me, I will pay you $10 through PayPal if you provide your email when helping me...I am really desperate
Yeah. Install Gentoo and see what that does

One that's available both on Linux and for normie phones (iPhone, Android).
Is there such a thing? Tl;dr: What's the Signal app of VOIP but available for computers too?
Very, very, very, very big bonus if it can be routed through Tor (TCP instead of UDP). Last time I asked about the TCP thing, no one knew.
Try mumble? I dunno.

For fucks sake Windows, why must you always use up over 1GB with svchost.exe?

That shouldn't take up a gig of ram regardless

Why would you blindly allow something to run if you have absolutely no clue how it works or what it actually does all for the name of "security"?
Please re-think your computing choices.
Anyone here sticking with windows 7?
Windows 10 is indeed much faster but software compatibility is fucking awful.
I can't run
>PSO:BB
>ImmunityDbg
>tons of old games and software
The above are the only reasons I even have a windows partition anymore.
I have installed and maintain w10 on hundreds of machines, yet use w7 on my work pc. All conplaints about w10 aside, 7 looks like dogshit tobe hohnest familia
Vista is better and has no telemetry

Alright /g/ follow my logic here, maybe I'm crazy and maybe
I want to support AMD if I can to keep them in the market
But check this out I'm going to be upgrading my PC soon, just the CPU
I have a 750K running like 5% OC'd with auto OC on my board because I'm lazy and it's not a very high end board

Hey OP.

How's my AMD build look to you? I want to mainly use it for emulation/gaming.

>if I get an 8320E, the single core performance remains the same
Nope, about 30% less. That AMD chip isn't really 8 cores, the fpus are shared.
If you're going to use this pc for years the intel chip is a much better bet. If you really want to support AMD hold off until Zen is released later this year. We're expecting a 40% jump from them. If your ram is 1.3 volt ddr3 rather than 1.6 there are some skylake boards that will support it.

What's the easiest way of cleaning my CPU/heatsink off?

You can use a paper towel or a q-tip

Alright /g/, which format makes for better long term storage, magnetic tape or optical disks?
tape they can hold a lot and are used mostly for archiving.

OP here.
The discussion is not about speed, but storage.
would it actually be a problem if one cable is unplugged?
would it be troublesome to find that cable?
in most shops, yes
no
>>53706484
you would know what adapter is reporting unplugged, and you should have a table with which adapters are on which machines, and which machines need to be connected to which switches/whatevers. the cable's position in space is not a useful value to query.
>>53706484
You could just use a toner and probe to find it
