I think Ghost in the Shell is a great anime.
If you want to learn Java-related technologies for ``MUH JERB SECURITY'' you should definitely know that the Java *language* is the weak link compared to the VM and the platform. Learn Scala and whatever JVM lang becomes hip next.

having trouble installing that awesome ROM on your rooted lagdroid phone anon?
Is this another thread where you guys make fun of people that actually work on something?
Good enough if you're using a popular device.
Shit if you're using a budget/underrated smartphone.
Safari under iOS 9.3. "It just works."
Oh, wait, no it doesn't. And radio silence from Apple, as usual.

No problems here. Whoever is having problems is probably a fag.
This is affecting a lot of users:

I submit that these affected users are in fact homosexuals.

Should I continue to use a computer that's having psu issues?
My problem is that my PC only turns on after shutdowns if i let it sit for like 5 minutes or so. When it does turn on it's fine tho. Am I good to go or should I wait until I can get a new PSU or mobo or whatever is wrong?
You run risks of shorting shit out continuing to use it, if thr PSU is at fault.
I had a period where I had to turn off the PSU switch or the system would boot loop. Stopped after a month. Never figured out what the deal was.
>lindybeige
my nigga
My screen freezes after 5 minutes of using it. When I try to reboot it, my fans power up and the power light comes on but the screen is black. If I wait 10 minutes then it will power on like normal for 5 minutes and freeze again.
Does this sound like a PSU? I just swapped out the graphics card.
I've been learning Python recently after departing from a high income job ( I was hired young from college and was fired four years later ) and have been looking into app development specifically for Android as a form of passive income. Does anyone here do that? How long did study before releasing your first app? And how much money does your app make annually? ( Sorry If talking about dev income Is taboo or something )
how did you get fired?
I've heard apps aren't making as much as they used to anymore. It is all about luck pretty much now to be a popular app.

>learning Python
>not learning Django with it for easy cash
Seriously, I don't even have a degree and I'm fully sure I'm autistic, but this is the easiest path

So I've got a little experience fixing peoples phones, computers, radios and things like that. Mostly swapping out parts. But I really want to into hardware repair and just general tinkering. Can anyone recommend any good sites or just good ways to learn how to repair circuit boards. Laptops and cell phones are what interest me most. Good guides on how to diagnose problems if that aren't immediately obvious are the hardest to find. Also I was looking to get a new soldering iron since I see this being something I'll be studying for a while and my old one isn't...

Shameless bump.
Come on, can someone just point me in the right direction? Im not asking to be spoonfed the info, just a little help. I've asked this like a hundred times across different forums and I've seriously tried looking up my own ways to learn and everything I come up with is just how to replace iPhone screens and shit.
>>53723564
Why not ask some specific questions?
>>53723708
Good point.
So let's say some guy ces in with a laptop. He says it just suddenly went out, and doesn't say anything to indicate an obvious problem like whirring or clicking. The shit just doesn't work according to him. I open it up, and everything looks perfectly fine to my relatively untrained eyes. No water marks, excessive dust, burn marks nothing really loose. How would I test if each individual part is working to find the problem. I have a multimeter, but no idea how to apply its use...

have you ever been called a hipster (or a fucking nerd) for using a piece of software or technology?? I am not talking about getting insulted in internet fights, I am talking about in person

Yes
No, I tend to keep to myself.
yes. i use a 30 gb brown zune in 2016.
Life is suffering.
>>53722889
what version of the kernel are you on?
ps AMD's stuff is really, really just fucking awful on linux. If you could still return that card / machine I suggest you do so asap
>>53722889
>Having open source driver that actually works well
Suffering?
>>53722932
>that actually works well
I have an AMD card in my computer and the open source driver does not work well
it literally doesn't work AT ALL
it gives me 'VCE init error (-22)' and then just uses the intel chip for everything
and if I switch to the proprietary driver, it runs SLOWER than the intel one, and my computer sounds like it's going to explode. Plus the screen tears no matter what and the option for vsync is inexplicably greyed out in catalyst
shoutout to the 16GiB RAM anon

There are fewer advantages to using Linux over Windows today than there were 3 years ago. yes?
>>53722575
Depends on your point of reference.
No. The year of the GNU + Linux desktop is coming soon.
Not really. Windows 10 sucks.
is it possible to order pizza online without having to use nonfree javascript
No, the botnet wants you to starve.
>>53722454
someone came up with a way to order pizza from the command line awhile ago
also dominos has a way to order via text message.
is javascript inherently non-free or are certain parts of it non-free, or what?

I disabled my anti virus for an entire month, then I started a full analysis.
>No virus found
I swear an ad/spam blocker is all you need unless you're a retard who mostly lurks fishy sites.
>>53722118
Pretty much useless. Even if you catch something there are programs that pretty much take care of it immediately, antiviruses are useless even for the normal user.
It's good to be safe then sorry when downloading shady 15 year old russian hacking tools without another decent alternative.
>>53722335
Then again, you could run them in a virtual machine.
