Memes aside how is the OP3? I currently have a nexus 4. Should I wait for the new nexus or consider 6p instead? (PS: I live in Europe so nexus prices are higher )
OnePlus has terrible customer service and refuses to replace defective units. The new Nexuses will be out in a couple months so I'd wait for that.

Yeah hope HTC delivers
Now that they've added sRGB mode there is literally nothing wrong with it, for the price anyway.
What's the hardest IT job overall? Or one that commands the most respect?
I think I'd have to say DBA.
>requires a wide breadth of knowledge from various technology fields and some very specific knowledge. Can take a very long time before you're considered a "good DBA"
>responsibility is huge since you're responsible for a client's data
>little to no room for errors or mistakes
>requires very good communication...

Critical incident manager.
Somewhere between herding kittens and trying to outsmart raptors.
>Or one that commands the most respect?
Data center manager.
Want to play games? Get your shit out of my data center. On, and I'm the DCM, so you're going to have to run that lab in your office, because you're not running it here.
>>55504976
Incident management definitely seems stressful. I'd probably hate the job after a couple of years.
>>55504953
I know it's not the hardest, but online tech support can be rough sometimes, since it combines many aspects of call centre work with tech support, with the added difficulty that you don't have the machine within reach to look at and work on yourself.
You roll with it though, and I get to work from home. Thinking of applying to Lockheed Martin though, they looking for people locally and probably have a great benefits package.
How that kind of USB cable is called ?

Some normalfags love it. They are really afraid of change.
It makes a nice GIF viewer but not much else.

I thought it was Microsoft edge now
Is there a full solution compatible with a Windows domain and latest versions of Winblows out there? Getting a chance to swap out a client's ancient Win 2k3 server with a new server I can run ESX. Figure I can get them away from Windows Server expensive licensing, if only AD services work.
I would like to know this as well
univention corporate server

Interdasting. I'm downloading the ISO now to check it out. Uses a GUI interface, though? I'm a CLI kinda guy. Hopefully their configs and scripts aren't a pain in the ass to deal with from the CLI?
is gorhill going to make ublock compatible with Edge browser?
>>55504669
Why don't you do it and contribute?
when he does I might pick up Edge over chrome
>edge browser
>runs K-9 Mail, ProtonMail, Signal, Conversations, SecureSMS, and other open source software on his Android phone to "avoid the botnet"
>still has Google Play Services installed
>he doesn't know that Google Play Services is a system-level app that reads everything that has a notification, so when you get that "secret message" from your buddy on Signal, Google Play Services can read and collect the notification you got and access keywords, names, and other data.
Why...

I like trying out apps, even if I will delete them within an hour and never look back.
But I have, like a year ago.
Because I'm not a terrorist and I have nothing to hide.
Is Code Complete 2 still relevant? It's praised all over the internet as must-read for developers, but it's already more than a decade old
>>55504521
Most of it. The rest never was relevant to begin with.

Hey /g/,
I'm installing ubuntu and have little to no idea about how linux commands or anything in linux work.
Where do I start?
You should install a VM of your Linux flavor of choice with the CLI only. Learn how the OS actually works underneath, and then work your way into the GUI side of it.

What's a good USB stick to store bitcoins and such on? Security like encryption is nice. But stability is more important. Not having it ask you to format it before use and so on.
>>55504370
>Store bitcoins
Genius !
>flash memory
>stability
pick one
Just buy a corsair survival or whatever and encrypt it
Hey guys I started having battery problems on S III Mini recently.
The phone seems to drain more battery when screen is off for instance, yet the GSam Battery Monitor app says the screen used up 30% of the power even when it was turned off.
Another thing draining the battery a lot is the Kernel. Something like 60% in 1 minute of running.
And another thing that sometimes drains a lot of power seems to be the Phone Radio. But when I go to flight mode, either the screen or the kernel takes it's place.
What stuff should I install to better monitor...

I love how everyone complete missed the announcement that Windows 7 and 8 now have incorporated the exact same data collection and spying that Windows 10 is using and that 7 and 8 are equally as invasive as 10 is invasive.
Only if you have automatic updates on.
