Does Gnome have to install all those shitty games? Or does that come with Debian? Fuck all the bloat is annoying.
Linux newfag here
ive seen some negativity on arch Linux on /g/ but whats so bad about it?
Nothing
We just like to pay out people who act pretentious about it.
Buttmad little kids that come straight from braindead Windows over to GNU and expect to understand how to use arch get confused and frightened and so they say it's shit.
>>53837792

Made the mistake of posting this on /b/, but they only care about dick picks.
I just got this on order. Cant wait. Now post yours pls.
there's another watch thread on this board and even that's too close to /fa/. keep your fashion shit to /fa/ or at the very least the same containment thread.
>>53837903
How about you only post on threads that you give a shit about?
Oh, and how about you go suck a dick?
>turn on virtual machine
>use it to emulate a pc with crazy high specs on low end hard ware, via software
>you now have a 128GB ram 24 core titan xxxxxx pc
why wouldn't this work?
It would "work" right up until you hit the physical limits of the hardware. It'll either crash halfway through making the VM or be incredibly slow.
>>53837720
>PC hardware companies hate him
>why wouldn't doing something that a fucking VM wouldn't fucking let you do in the first goddamn place work
Idiot.
TFW might be using this note 2 for another 3 years

Out of Google, Microsoft and Apple which company has the most weebs working for it?
Microsoft. It has the most employees.
>>53837290
Google. Apple maybe if you count Apple store employees and not just technical people. Microsoft is mainly old dudes in suits and Indians.
if they're employed in a technical capacity at a cutting edge tech company probably spent most of their time and money studying and working and generally not having fun
Started learning JS recently for a side project.
Prior languages programmed in involve python, PHP, minimal C++
Why did no one tell me this language was comfy as fuck?
And no I don't use a framework.
Nice blog
describe why it is comfy
>>53837216
>Why did no one tell me this language was comfy as fuck?
I've posted several times in the past that JS is a good beginner language.
>no need to install bloated IDEs, compilers, SDKs, etc.
>no need to update every week/month
>no libraries and dependencies
>no need to worry about hardware-specific issues
>very easy...

What happened to steamOS and gaming on Linux?
Thinking of building a shitbox for steam games on my big screen telly and I'm curious if I should go windows or steam.
Please don't post bullshit one year old benchmarks, I'm curious about CURRENT performance.
Also has AMD or Nvidia drivers improved on Linux much?
You could always use steam link so you can just run the games off your powerful gaming PC and just have a cheap HTPC in your living room.
>>53837231
I do this sort of. Keep my powerful computers in the basement which is always cool temperature wise and have a fanless shitbox in my office. Nice and quiet but I can still do gayming.
What do you do when you spill glue on a mobo /g/?
>>53836794
Soapy water and let it dry
>>53836794
thats some thick cum right there
>>53836794
Let it dry, peel it off. Also remember to remove the cmos battery, and if some additional is stuck use 90+% alcohol to clean, leave for a day or two to dry.
I've knocked over an entire pint sized class of water onto a running computer without much adverse effects after drying and removing the cmos battery. It's not as bad as you think.
Hi /G/

Work is playing for it.
Memory foam is technology, so lets discuss it.
I'm considering the plunge to a more modern comfort and support material for my bed and office chair. Thoughts or experiences? I have very little understanding in the different types and styles of foam mattresses.
>>53836718
No it ain't, now fuck off
>>53836849
No, fuck you. It's advanced technology.
Just because there isn't electricity involved doesn't mean it's not tech.
I bought the cheapest shit-tier mattress and a 4 inch memory foam topper ($150) it's fucking awesome
