When is someone going to invent video converting software where I can run other programs while the video is converting, and the video/audio stays in sync and the video isn't fucked in general? Or is video converting really that intensive of a process that I would need like 32GB of RAM and some super beast i7 processor to run other programs without fucking up a video thats converting?

Have you never converted video ever? Doing other things (i.e. running a game while a video is converting) tends to fuck up the video conversion, lowering its framerate and sometimes making the video 1-2 seconds out of sync with the entire thing.

Here are the specs:
-Intel Celeron 697 mhz (couldn't find the celeron model)
-64 mb RAM
-20 gb hard drive
-100w power supply (if it helps)
-no gpu
It has Windows XP Pro on it, but with 64 mb RAM I'm pretty sure it was upgraded. Maybe it had windows 95/98/2000 originally? I could really use your help, and any assistance is appreciated.

It has a model number, and I'm fairly certain it was an OEM PC because the case doesn't have a sticker to show it has "intel inside" it's a part of the case.

Just about to finish my first PC build and I'm wondering where is the best place that I can go to to talk to someone about the ins and outs of making sure everything is in the right place before I boot it up. The AMD cards are not actually housefire, they are similar to old Kepler cards. The "new" Radeons are like a GK110 with 1200 Mhz sold as a 980, the Furys are 4000 shader GK110 with HBM1.
I heard they improved a little on chip yield but thats all, no new chips.

Windows barely puts effort in anything but their software.
You have to understand M$ used to be the biggest company in the world that had about no products outside of Windows.
They probably started most of those projects becuase why not.
Besides I'm a WP owner and I can tell you they basically abandoned the platform. W10 mobile is a bugfest worse than Android.
My Inno3D 980 Ti Airboss X3 (the name alone...) is running VERY hot while playing graphically intense games (The Witcher 3 for example).
It's not the chip itself, that's staying at a steady 70 degrees Celsius but it's somewhere around the VRAM I think.
I noticed it first while playing Witcher 3, I heard this weird 'ticking' noise, like metal expanding/shrinking.
It just kept on going so I decided to measure the temperature around on the card (since the GPU chip itself is doing fine).
It gets to fucking 115 degrees Celsius at a specific...

Airflow in my case should be fine.
Define R5 with 3 case fans installed.
CPU is a 3570k overclocked to 4.2GHz and it is not running over ~68 degrees under full load so.
Meanwhile, my friend's 980Ti frozr from MSI doesn't go past 62°C but his case is home made with custom airflow (wood).
I don't see how it's possible to be this fucking bad.
Ask for replacement asap .. if you can't, well redo the thermal paste / maybe thinking about replacing the whole heatsink/fan because it's surely not working here.
So I installed Arch about a week ago on my lenovo. It works like a charm. Took a lot of work to get it working but it's all good now.
