Where were you when piracy became available to the nomalest of normies and facebook became the new one-stop shop for streaming bootleg movies with no shitty ads or pop ups.
>tfw The Donald becomes President, he won't give two shits about the chinks jewing Hollywood after the crap they're giving him and will only go after them on manufacturing and currency manipulation.
Expect the piracy train to continue, unless they jump in support for him now. He owes them nothing, unlike Obama, who is literally a puppet of Hollywood and why you're seeing so many draconian measures being taken against piracy in the last 7 years.
Does Samsung do anything with the curved screen gimmick with the S7 edge?
Or is it only something Samsung did to make stupid people pay $100 more for the phone?

So I am intrested in computers, but no idea where to start at. My teachers and some people I work tell me I should focus on a CS degree but I honestly do not find programming all that exciting. I guess I am more of a Hardware person than a Software. I know eventually I have to learn to program no matter what but I at least if I focus on hardware it wont be so stressful. Personally, I just love fixing computers or experimenting with parts (reusing or making a small embedded-like PC for specific tasks.). What kind of career can I hope to get? My dream is to one day be able to...

Repairing computers and engineering processors are kinda two different things, anon. Go study electronic engineering and pick up some certifications (CompTIA, MCSE, Linux, etc) on the way so you can get a job part time fixing computers (technical support, help desk or desktop support) while you're working your way towards a degree. The practical experience from working in an entry level position will help solidify fundamentals you'll need.
tech nostalgia thread?

Alright /g/ I need a bit of help. I know crap all about Apple stuff but my father just downloaded the 9.3.1 update for his iPad 2. Right after, he was prompted to put in his iTunes account info, something he had never actually made or been told to make.
He now can't access any features with it, or get the tablet to start at all. He's downloading a the recovery software on it, but he's getting really anxious about it since he has over five years of pictures on it, and almost all of it is family stuff. He never backed it up because it never prompted him to and the tablet itself has always worked perfectly fine until Apple sent out the update.
Everywhere he's gone to for help has more or less said the thing's a brick unless he factory resets it.
Like I said, I know crap all about Apple products, but is there any way to get the pictures off of it before it bricks?
Some of you know what is the music that plays in the introduction when configuring the OS X Mountain Lion?
