Isn't this a valid line of reasoning?
Arguments like "I know this because of past experiences I have had, I don't need to reason it any more" always make me cringe.

So the scientific method makes you cringe? Daily life must be difficult.

Not everyone is autistic enough to want to re-invent the wheel every time they're asked to "prove" something.
Google has an in house tool just for testing lag on Android
lmfao
http://www.engadget.com/2016/04/05/google-open-sources-android-lag-tool/
>>53886976
Seems fairly logical, whats wrong with it? Are you autistic?
>>53888917
>Seems fairly logical,
It only seems logical when you're stuck with a platform that lags.
Do you think lag is an issue for Windows Phone, for example?
>>53890625
can't have lag on apps that don't exist
So I'm building a gaming pc and I want it to be "future proof" run every game that will come out on ultra for the next 5 or more years. I'm willing to drop the cash but don't want to buy anything too unnecessary so I'm planning on getting a i7-6700 now my question should I go 2 way sli 980ti's or just say fuck it and get two sli titans? I know there is /v/ but you guys actually know about this stuff while /v/ would probably automatically jump to the more expensive thing.
>>53886948
>she will never crush your skull between her thighs
just end me lads
>>53886948
I would try looking on www.google.com (all lower case no spaces) or go to Best Buy those guys hooked me up last time they know a ton about building gaming rigs.
>>53887002
I know, man. I know.
>>53886948
If you don't know why you need Titans, you don't need Titans.
I have a question for you /g/, let's say I wanted to cook an egg on a cpu, if I cook the egg in a tuna can, should I put thermal paste between the can and the cpu?
>>53886763
Oil would be better
>>53886803
Like filling the can with oil?
>>53886763
Fuck off, Luke.
Noob here. I'm considering building a pc for the first time. I can't decide if I should get a 980ti or a Fury X. I'm going to use an ultrawide monitor. Also, which one is better for VR?
Only want vr? 980ti
>>53886855
I'm also worried about ultrawide. Can I play on max on any of those cards? Also, is there a big enough difference? Because a Fury x/z35 combo is much cheaper than a 980/ acer x34
>>53886910
FreeSync monitors will always be much cheaper, as the additional hardware required for GoySync adds a fuckton to the price. You'll literally never see a cheap monitor with it, unless Nvidia start eating the cost to prop it up (which it needs now that Intel are using FreeSync).
I still use Firefox and feel it is a good web browser.
If anyone here disagrees with me then they could suck the fuck off.
i switched to chromium because i got tired of lagfox removing features while still taking 1.5GB RAM with 7 tabs open.
When I try FF after a while it's always comparatively slower than Chrome. Any suggestions to increase speed?
>inb4 Chrome is botnet
Just go to AppData, find Chrome and make all the record files "read only". Do a clean wipe when you're done. No more search suggestions, history, cache, browser telemetry. Just be sure to check it if the read-only sticks after updating.

FF 5 Tabs open, using 300 mb RAM.
Open Bazarr has officially launched
Thought you all should know.
Originally named Dark Market, the proof-of-concept was created in 2014
http://www.wired.com/2014/04/darkmarket/
>At a Toronto Bitcoin hackathon earlier this month, the group took home the $20,000 first prize with a proof-of-concept for a new online marketplace known as DarkMarket, a fully peer-to-peer system with no central authority for the feds to attack. If DarkMarket’s distributed architecture works, law enforcement would be forced to go after every contraband...

What are some good keyboards for android? I'm tired of all the good ones updating and becoming bloated (Minuum, Fleksy, swiftkey). I'm using google keyboard right now, but it lacks customization.
Any suggestions?

So what's app now claims to have encryption. They even say it's end to end, but that could still be (and most likely is) end to server/server to end encryption.
End to end encryption means they can't spy on you from the servers faggot
>>53886640
Zuck don't need a server to spy on you.

So I'm new to the idea of a home server. Scouring Craigslist I found this computer for $280 and it seems like a perfect box for the price and purpose
>two Xeon e5335 quad-core CPUs, 2 GHz, 1333 FSB, 8 MB L2 cache
>32 GB DDR2-667 ECC quadruple channel RAM
>two 1TB SATA hard disks
>Nvidia GT218 PCIe dual GPU, DVI and DisplayPort outputs
>Gigabit Ethernet
>bunch of ports and space...

It'll work great. It's quite a bit more than you probably need though.
>>53886386
I've owned many a home server over the past few years. This sounds like a great machine, but keep in mind what exactly you want to do with it. A cheaper, less powerful machine may suit your needs better, even a raspberry pi can host a web server or shared file system.
Also look into Proxmox, it's an open source hypervisor. With all that power, you will probably want to virtualize.
>>53886386
A bit overkill for home server but if $280 doesn't make a dent go on ahead
Siri gives access to contacts and photos without passcode.

Can't Siri unlock the phone after recognizing the voice?

No, no.
And that's how the FBI eventually hacked that phone.
I googled it but got mixed answers, when gaming with virtual surround headphones in games that don't have a "surround sound headphone" option, do you use the stereo output or the real 7.1 surround ouput?
>>53886282
or does the Logitech Gaming software override the output by default?
>>53886282
There is surround done through software
