I'm in a new city and I'm bringing my thinkpad P50 out to a coffee shop to work tomorrow. What kind of reactions can I expect? Any public thinkpad stories?
OP has Autism and needs a prog language that is as actively hostile towards OOP as he is.
What do you reconnected?
How do you feel about the Geek Squad?
I used to work for them in the stores and they're really no different from any other corporation. They're totally not for /g/ or anyone even remotely technologically minded. Their prices, structure, method of operation are totally designed around milking boomers and rich stupid middle aged people.
I now work at the corporate office for geek squad and I can tell you working for them is great, having to deal with them is only a few levels above trying to deal with a bank or something.
I just installed Slackware in a VM. Installation was a breeze. I wanted to like to like it. I wanted to like it so much. But Jesus, after using Portage and pacman, I can't abide this shit. Just... why?! Thank God I didn't put it on a real machine.
Slackware users: am I missing something here? I wish to be enlightened in the way of Slack. If not, I'll stick with Gentoo...
Slackware ships with a proprietary image viewer. DROPPED
The only think you're missing is the release date and the fact that it wants to stick to it's roots. At the time it came out, nothing had automatic dependency resolution. Nothing had a package manager.
So /g/ have we figured out what the best browser is?
Firefox is fucking laggy and unresponsive, would be the best if it weren't for the lag.
Opera's UI is cluttered with bull shit, has in-built shit that can not be removed from the tool bar
Chrome is a botnet
Vivaldi is just out of the picture
Is there not one decent browser? For fucks sake
>Firefox is fucking laggy and unresponsive
this faggotry needs to die
im not happy with some of mozilla's recent doings but that statement is a lie
>Chrome is a botnet
only if you leave most of the options enabled
Fuck off i'm using firefox right now. And it lagged, that's what made me make this thread.
I have tried it on my laptop and Desktop, i've re-installed it. Now i just deal with it, as it has the best extensions.
>de-select all the options fixes it
Yeah, that's what you think
Post timeline of OS' you've used:
Some mac os on a field trip
OS X for work
Top 3 would be:
1. OS X
3. Win 7
So last night I had a quick thread about which is the best 1070 after market model you can get.
For some reason, /g/ decided that shit brands like Gainward and Palit are better than stuff like Asus and Gigabyte?
Were you guys trolling or what?
For the past 5 years I've read nothing but bad stuff about those, like using cheap materials and not binning at all.
Which is the best 1070? Opinions?
Hello /g/ My Samsung Chromebook won't turn on the only sign of life of it is when I plug it in the power button blinks and won't do anything. What should I do?
If you had a child which distro would you introduce them to in there early childhood years ?(2-11)
>gf complains why i don't have a facebook
>auto reply "because of botnet sweetie"
>"what's a botnet?"
>"basically skynet babe"
>litterally argues how thats not true
>provides facts about why it is true
>next day still complains for [ me !=botnet]

I've been running on an e2220 for a year now, will this be a good deal and hold me until zen+? Looking to play most new games on medium high.
Also craigslist general I guess
Those look like they were stolen from a school library or some shit. The fact that he has a completely identical second and selling both on craigslist makes it even more suspicious.
Fuck, the university here has a whole fleet of them. That explains that then.
>you meet a girl in an internet café
>you guys talk for a long while
>she likes coding html, C, and python
>you pop the question "what OS do you use?"
>she replies "i like OSX anon" while she repeted press space bar five times on her line of code for python

What's a free method to spoof someone else's number for a text message?
