My computer hard resets whenever I play any video game
sometimes the game will just crash, sound will loop, i will hear an error noise, and the monitor will turn on and off saying no input detected. it is impossible to alt tab or ctrl alt delete, i have to hard reset in this situation.
It didn't crash during a FurMark stress test
I've tried fully reinstalling the drivers with DDU multiple times
ive tested each ram stick individually

GPU/PSU dying. Pick one.
I have 1 128GB and 3 identical 1 TB HDDs labeled C: to F: respectively. I now need to replace drive E: with a 4TB I just aquired.
What's the easiest way for me to know which physical drives the labels correspond to so I can replace it in 1 shot without fumbling around serial numbers etc
Ignore staffer drama and it'll die down eventually edition

it's free software ideologically comunism?
communism is a much more complicated and involved ideology than free software.
free software may be consistent with communism, but then so is public education and state-maintained roads.
Yes, and that's not a bad thing.

I want to start using one of these two, what are objectively the pros and cons of each?
Try to keep it civil please, I know it's usually a heated debate.
It's subjective.
Try both and use the one you like more.

This.
Also, you can get Vim bindings in Emacs.
Emacs requires you to tweak and configure your install quite a lot to make it work how you want it.

I'd just like to interject for a moment. What you're referring to as Linux, is in actuality, GNU/Linux, or as I've recently taken to calling it, GNU plus Linux. Linux is not an operating system unto itself, but rather another free part of a fully functioning GNU system made useful by the GNU corelibs, shell utilities and vital system components comprising a full OS as defined by POSIX.
Many computer users run a modified version of the GNU system constantly, without realizing it. Through a peculiar...

VMs are the way to go imo. They can be tedious and time consuming to setup and get working like you want, but so can WINE. The difference is that once you get your VM setup like you want, then the hard part is behind you. With WINE once you get one piece of software working satisfactorily, it's more or less just good for that particular software, and the setup could get broken if you upgrade that software or the software your using to run it.
Dual booting will be the easiest to get setup, but it's a hassle to switch back and forth between OSes when you actually need to use them both simultaneously. Most likely you'd use Linux for a few hours, or maybe a day or two, but once you reboot into Windows you'll find it really easy to convince yourself to just stay there since it's more familiar anyway. After a while you'll realize that your Linux partition is just wasting space since you rarely if ever use it.
That was my problem with finally making the switch to Linux. I told myself that I'd dual boot until I learned Linux enough to be comfortable in it, and then I'd just use Windows for gaming. But with Windows still an easy option, I found that I didn't bother learning my way around Linux. I'd hit a roadblock, and rather than figure it out, I'd opt to do whatever it is I was wanting to do in Windows.
I attempted this a few times actually. Then one day I realized, hey, I'm not really interested in gaming anymore. So I installed Linux, deleted Windows, and forced myself to use Linux. Before long I felt comfortable in it, and the few times I've had to use Windows since--fixing the PCs and laptops of friends and relatives mainly--I've come to realize that it is just fucking painful to use. You won't fully appreciate how poorly Windows functions, and is designed until you've been away for a while, and then happen to use it again. You will kick yourself for not ditching it much sooner.

whats the easiest way to get all apps including their settings to a new phone?
syncing stuf to my google account litery did nothing, half the apps are not in the store anymore (like clover) and those that are need to be redownloaded and reconfigured manually

Thinking about getting an 8350 and an r9 390 to upgrade from a phenom II 1100t and a 770. Is it too late for me? Have pc games already passed the 8350 and 390? I know zenith and Polaris are coming out soon, but how much of a difference will they actually make? I just want to play 1080p games at 60fps. /v/ told me the cpu is shit and I should get an i5-6600k.
