>>54202119

Do you need an i7 for gayming?
Yes.
You don't play games on PC.
It depends. If you want a laptop, yes. If you want a desktop, no, an i5 can do the job
Who else here is using void linux?
It's simply the perfect Distro
No use flags equivalent

there are too many linux users for that to be viable. any operation that could watch every machine running linux would be at the same order of magnitude to scale to monitor everyon-

This has to b b8.
Is it worth getting 970 over 960?
>>54200774
no because the 970 is hardley better than the 960 its only 10 units better, thats 1.047% increase in performance

How does it feel to be poor?
how many of you faggots actually use linux as your main OS?
my guess is maybe 0 or 1
It's probably a lot more, sadly
They will shill it all day and night but in reality 99.9% of them are shitposting from winshit. Linux is just a meme
the real question does anyone not underage or from a third world country use linux as their main OS? If so, are you some hikikomori who does nothing productive?

I'll start, they'll never know what it's like to have only <200mb being used while idle.

That's why my memory is for applications, not bloated system processes :^)

I've got a really weird problem and it's fucking me over, I just put together a computer for a friend, whenever he uses the PC, the CPU Fan spins, whenever the computer idles back to the login screen, the CPU fan and another fan stops spinning, You can rule out the thought of the PC being cooled enough that the CPU fan stops spinning due to low temps.
It's a god damn i7 950 with the default CPU cooler, it idles at 50C.
I have a few questions.
1) is it possible to properly hide the windows task bar? As in remove that 1 pixel? I want to make it like when you're in fullscreen firefox and have to press the windows button for it to appear
2)Can themes really not be installed properly on windows 8? Surely there's a work around by now?
>>54199521
>is it possible to properly hide the windows task bar?
just kill explorer.exe
If you are serious about switching to Linux, use it exclusively for 2 weeks.
Avoid booting to windows for that period of time, or you are likely to start retreating back to it instead of getting used to linux as your new home and working on making it feel comfortable
You can safely experience installation process and the basic usage through a virtual machine

>americans have problems using chip cards
>americans literally can't comprehend how to input a 4-digit code
Why is USA such backwards and why there is so much resistance against chip credit cards?
I have a feeling that it's because of shitty American internet.
The main gripe seems to be the wait times.
I've heard that they occasionally have to wait 10-30 seconds for the card readers to process the information, which is how it was around here +10 years ago.
I'd say that it's a good thing though.
Maybe this motivates or flat out forces them to upgrade their late 90s tier infrastructure.
I'm 21 years old and I'm too young to remember magnetic strips.
Anyway, I can't remember when was the last time I had to insert card into the reader. It's all contactless nowadays.
Does the US think Thriller is a new album as well? How are they JUST getting chip cards? Stupid Amerifats.
What are your asses touching right now. I need a new chair /g/

buy one on craigslist. should get it cheap.
every other chair i've seen has either been something a child would want (a nascar bucket seat on wheels) or a utilitarian but very cheap piece of junk (see: everything at IKEA)

actually looks really nice, how sturdy is the material?
>>54198730
Yeah buy an expensive that costs an arm and a leg for cheap on craigslist, used by some fat greasy man who has masturbated on it so you can feel better when you sit on it.

All the invites are made by users so you don't know if they're going to cough up because they pick and choose who they want to give invites to. But anyway I had a look at the most entry level trackers and there's:
Power User on MAM has threads for user offered IPT invites.
Power User on AB has threads for user offered IPT invites and TorrentLeech
