What is Linux ?
How to answer this tech-noob friend ?
A kernel.

"It's an operating system, which is the software that allows you, the user, to run applications on your computer and interact with the hardware in a safe and controlled way".
>inb4 hurr durr linux is the kernel interjection
Save that until he knows the difference between a kernel and a userland.
It's just an irrelevant kernel that will soon be replaced by Hurd.

Asking "Hey guys, what's your opinion on x?" is frowned upon.
Wireless is frowned upon.
Headset requests are frowned upon.
Isolation ≠ Noise cancellation
If you dislike a headphone suggestion, try giving a better suggestion to whomever asked instead of going "hurr, brand x sucks"

How the fuck does the internet actually work?
>When you load a web page, you have to load all the data to view it.

idk senpai, apple shipments are down since Q1 2015 and their stock has dropped from ~130$ and is heading for the $100 range again. Investors are probably very nervous right now. With a homo leading the company there is not much hope of any good products being released.
>>54220822
This honestly.
You people need to get through your heads that no matter what Apple does they will always have a small core fanbase that will happily eat up any shit they push out. It works in Apple's favor that these people are also generally completely tech illiterate.

first for HDB is top comfy
Ghostleeching is downloading files without taking a ratio hit (No Upload/Download Reported). You have to use a different IP for the actual downloading. Here is how it works:
1. You grab a torrent.
2. You Pause the torrent or severely limit the download speed
3. Write down all peers (IP and Port)
+++++++
On a different IP:
4. Add the torrent to your client
5. Remove the tracker (which has your passkey and identifying information)
6. Add the Peers and you are good to go!
You will now download torrents without being a member of the...

Will maintenance tools such as CCleaner or Wise Registry Cleaner actually enhance my PC's performance, or will they just fuck my registries up? My PC is old but it runs fine, I don't fill it with random shit and run MBAM once a month or so. Will running these tools help at all?
