It allows same people to write server side and client side logic. This is very important when you are a freelancer, you can be a one men army without learning two languages (lowers entry barriers), and is mildly important for bigger companies (your employees are more universal so it's easier to manage projects). Those advantages are helped by the fact that most web frameworks were bad anyway so it's not like nodejs+whatever is that much worse. Trackpoint, hm? I've never used those.
So /g/, how do I go about getting started on pursuing this potentially pointless but personally fulfilling task of mine.
My girlfriend and I are 22 and we still play video games and MTG. We think the kinds of backstories and lore behind our favorite games and movies are fascinating and we have an appreciation for the time and imagination that goes into some of the more successful and even some of the less successful ones that we personally like.
So we have ideas for video games and the universes and lore behind them. Before we die, we want to make these games,...

Hey /g/ I am in need of a PC, nothing fancy, just some Libre office and posting of dank memes.
But a new P.C cabinet will cost me a lot and the amount of stuff I'll have to buy is phenomenally mind fuckin(hard disk, ram, mother board). I already got the monitor, keyboard and other peripherals but need the main guy.
What do you suggest under 100$ range like that of a mini p.c or a SBC?
>>54303167
You should try not being poor. that's your best option if all you have is $100
Intel Galileo and Edison are Intel's contrived offerings to the open-source SBC "maker community" shills. I think they're like, idk 80$ or something.

No. It's like buying a used car. The several hundred bucks in savings isn't worth it.
