AMD's 2017 custom win is undoubtedly for Nintendo's NX console, but what is it exactly? The NX will almost certainly have a handheld counterpart designed to be similar enough architecturally that it is easy to port to. Whatever the chip is in the console, it needs to be able to downscale into a low thermal SoC design for its eventual handheld counterpart.
But nothing in AMD's current lineup would offer this capability. The cat cores are dead, and even if they weren't dead, they're too hot. AMD's only ARM SoC is a server part. ZEN is...

I don't think a 14nm Puma core could fit in a handheld no matter what you did to it.
Amd is probably just doing graphics.

In this thread (https://boards.4chan.org/g/thread/54366597) we came up with the idea of SatanOS, a fork of TempleOS with a Satan theme and other changes, such as Networking (Maybe?). This is the thread to organize everything.
TO-DO:
Set a philosophy and project goals
Study TempleOS code, and learn how it works.
Create a GitHub repository of forked code.
Create a IRC Channel

Why does everyone on /g/ seemingly hate Windows 10 so much? I genuinely think it's a good product. All the silly rumors about spyware/botnet are straight up lies created by idiot paranoids.
Windows 10 is the safest operating systsem on the market today, with features like smartscreen filter, applocker, cloud-based windows defender, and an improved updates system that ensures no computer stays unpatched and vulnerable.
Additionally, the whole telemetry paranoia is off the charts. They doesn't any personal info and it's only used to fix the bugs. Would you rather give one of the oldest and most reputable American software companies a small bit of info on how you use your computer, or would you rather help provide your entire identity and all your files to cybercriminals?
There is also a lots of other good improvements in Windows 10 like the new Edge Browser, built in appstore, memory compression, DirectX 12, and Cortana assistant. So many good things in Windows 10 but elitist idiots stick to 10 year old windows 7 saying its safer and better. LOL its 2016. Please tell me im not the only person here with even the slightest sense of rationality.

I agree with you. Windows 10 is pretty great and it's also a completely FREE upgrade. There's also now only a couple months left for the free upgrade so taking advantage of it right now is a no-brainer. Nobody should let this baseless paranoid fud spread by butthurt linux users prevent them from using Microsoft's best work in history.

Yeah Windows 10 is awesome. It's so much faster for me and it uses way less RAM. All the bullshit about spyware/botnet is pretty ironic too, when you consider how much new security improvements Windows 10 has.

If Windows 10 is spyware then surely we could prove it fairly easily, right?
1. Install Win 10 on a brand new machine, just the OS.
2. Disable any and all telemetry, or any other features that send data to Microsoft
3. Connect the machine to a router with no other machines connected, but with internet access. Use a router that predates Win 10 and don't update its firmware
4. Use the machine normally, but avoid anything that will result in any kind of network traffic. Log everything you do with a timestamp
5. Monitor all traffic directly through the router...

What's the rig you're using right now?
a Lenovo y50-70 with i7 4720HQ and GTX960M 4GB configuration. 8GB DDR3 are fucking hell when video editing, fans are always spinning and 220GB of Storage after the OS are ridiculous.

Beautiful, man. With my PC I'm using a Philips 5.1 surround, 10-30Hz speakers. Two added subwoofers. Absolute monster, no factory effects, just pure studio sound. And a 42" 1080p TV. Very close distance so it looks horrible.
I think I'll get a 1440p monitor for that 980Ti.
And you mean 8GB is pain or a heaven for video editing? That 1300MHz is a bottleneck though. I'm getting 16GB for RAM drive and dual booting. Too much?
Don't Skylake chips still bend under pressure of large heatsinks? Why do people still recommend it? It's the reason I went with Haswell (and because the 4790k is $40 cheaper than the 6700k with negligible performance loss)
I'm aware MSI was working on "CPU Guard" to stop this from happening but that doesn't account for any other mobo company
>>54376395
They bend if you put it under one of those monster double decker heatsink fan combos and press like hell.
Dude, DDR4. Why would would go back to DDR3 if you can afford DDR4?
>>54376474
DDR4 is a meme for anything but iGPU. And Intel can't make good ones anyway.
