Intel's fucked anon, they're bailing on the low-powered CPU market and they are laying off at least 25000 people.
You're fucked. Time to get off this ride and buy a Pi.
Hey /g/
Is is possible to increase the frame rate of a cell phone camera by recording only a small portion of the 720p HD?
I want to get a high frame rate for a scientific microscope I am building on my phone but 240fps on the S7 isn't high enough. I only need a 50px by 1000 px wide strip to record. Right now the entire 1280x720 is mostly wasted. Is there a way I can select a smaller portion to record and increase the frame rate that way?
Or is there a way to record just the 50 by 1000 strip so I can save memory for the files I collect?
Thanks!
>>54346784
Camera doesn't work like that
>>54346898
So I'm stuck with imaging the entire area for each frame?
I thought if I was able to collect the charge accumulated in the CMOS pixel -> convert to RGB for a given array that I define to collect pixels from; and then define a new frame to collect data, it might work?
>>54346943
The sensor isnt fast enough for this. There is a reason why real highspeed cameras are bulky and expensive.
Got tired of buying new gamer headset's every year for $70+ because the headbands or other parts are the cheapest craziest plastic China can muster.
To break the cycle I'm buying a stereo headphone mixer. Using super cheap but good enough headphones because those are the parts that I think are a high risk of death. Then for the mic a Blue Snowflake.
I'll run 2-3 of my pc's sound output to the mixer. Chat will be 1 channel and games will be the other. Third channel will be backup or secondary chat. Windows mic drivers have always been good enough...
Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.

WHY DO YOU HATE CAPITALISM?
But seriously anon, good fucking idea. No need to duplicate budget on several pieces of shit that do the same thing when a switcher device lets you spend your money on one good one.
>>54346704
For ~$100 you can get a real mixer and they work great as headphone amps. Lots of inputs. At that price range you can get one with USB DAC included for your PC and on-board effects too, like reverb.

I have a Focusrite Saffire 6 and Mackie CR3s. I'm probably going to buy a Behringer B1 (fantastic mic; don't let "vintage" cultists tell you that you need to blow $1000) soon.
You get significantly better results at the same price.
Hey /g/,
currently on the lookout for a device (<300 € / < $ 345) that I want to use for the following:
- Use it for university stuff, i.e. writing papers/essays and taking notes in class (and maybe create presentations)
- Drawing (so probably something with a touchscreen)
- Use it as an e-book reader
- Play vidya (mostly emulated retro games); should note that I hate the touch controls emulators on Android and such often have
The most obvious choices here would be a tablet or a laptop with a touchscreen, but there are some other interesting devices as well (pic related)
I realize that a device that can do all these things won't be perfect for each category (e.g. most tablets can't detect pressure / tilt I imagine, which would be useful for drawing), especially not for that money
Nonetheless, are there any recommendations you can give me, /g/?
Some tablets I found are:
- Dell Venue 8 (7840)
- Huawei MediaPad M2 8.0
- Nvidia Shield Tablet K1
The pic is of the GPD WIN Intel Z8550, a really cool sounding device, half laptop half handheld game console with a touchscreen; not yet released though
Another interesting device is the BIG BEN GT320206 GAMETAB, pic in next post
Used Thinkpad X220 tablet from eBay?
>>54346695
The BIG BEN GT320206 GAMETAB
Has a controller you can remove if you want to, pretty neat if you want it to be a bit more portable, or use it in public without seeming like a total nerd
The controller is particularly interesting for me because like I said, I hate those on-screen controls many retro console emulators on Android and the like have, so a tablet with an actual controller is pretty cool
I'm not sure if the K1 has a stylus, but if so get that. If not, get the one with a stylus.
It's literally designed for gaming and drawing. snag a keyboard if you want to do any real document work.
i want to go search stuff in deep web, anything i need to know? any extra securiti needed?
Fuck off normie
>doesnt know about the shadow web, beneath the deep web AND the dark web.
be careful where you post these questions kid. you might get red roomed.
You dont have to worry until you reach anti-web
Alright niggas I have shitty fuck Windows 10 on this new laptop I got.
Do I use this: https://github.com/WindowsLies/BlockWindows/
to get Microsoft off my ass? It seems like these motherfuckers are unstoppable and I'm better off installing Windows 7. Thanks for your time.
Install FreeBSD
>>54346371
Use O&O ShutUp 10 and SpyBot Antibeacon. Both more reliable and less error-prone than a collection of shell/batch scripts.
>>54346371
>to get Microsoft off my ass?
Simply not possible.
See https://wiki.installgentoo.com/index.php/Talk:Windows_10
rate my build p1 of 2
p2 of 2
Drop down to a non-x 390 and upgrade to an i5 cpu. Also hardwire your fucking desktop. Don't use wifi.
Drop the watercooling, only get 16GB RAM and get proper headphones.
Rest seems pretty good.
Is it possible to get a free website domains and hosting? (I mean FREE)
What are the best?
also is this one legitimate:
https://googiehost.com/
>>54346158
weebly for hosting .tk for the domain
There's plenty of places you can free hosting, some will allownphp hosting as well. You won't ever get free domains though unless its something shitty like a .tk or a subdomain
friendly reminder if you don't type in landscape you're a normie
>>54346137
>if you don't do something like I do, you're [insert insult here]
I don't like having to reach across the entire screen just to tap G or H.
>>54346177
you don't do any of this with a proper keyboard all keys are comfortably within thumb reach, even with babby sized hands. also don't use autocorrect.

How can the Small white case even compete?
Post your BBC
Mine is a Phanteks case with good airflow
My BBC is a Corsair 750D Airflow edition.
It has some white inside though
>>54346814

kys
>>54348512
You can from other angles, but if you really want a good look at the interior i'd just take the sidepanel off.
It's not like 90% of the people I invite to my house would even know what the parts inside are.
Is there a way to sync my notifications across my android devices?
I use my phone all the time, but my tablet not so much. That means when I boot up my tablet I get every notification I got that day on my phone.
Is there a way to sync them so any notification I've seen/dismissed on my phone doesn't show up on my tablet?
Pushbullet
AirDroid
Join by Joaoapps (can't get this to work right but apparently it supports it)
Learn Tasker
>>54346079
Personally recommend either?
Anyone else? Neither of those seem to do what I need, they'll sync between PC and phone, but not my tablet
Why do people buy laptops when desktops are better? Desktops can be upgraded, are much cheaper, etc.
Laptops are portable

Sup /g/, IT guy here. Has anything bad ever come of deleting the folder %appdata%? I'm about to backup a guy's user folder and the vast majority of his data is in appdata. I'm probably going to delete it either way, but I'd like to know if there's anything worth salvaging.

You're fucking retarded.
craft a gui to track its ip before you run rm -r on that directory senpai
you never know what firewall ports that might use tcp to escape into the dark web through

Why don't you delete it and find out?
