I just got my first iem! I previously fell in love with Shure's SE115 years ago. Those lasted like five years. These last few years, I swear I've been through like ten samsung earbuds, countless ones from Walmart... I said Fuck it. Got the 846s.. I was wondering if there's audiophiles or even casual listeners that can give me advice on these things. Should I get the moon audio cables as an upgrade? Did I make a stupid purchase, are there better iems that I should have gotten instead?
> iems
Hey OP, I like my sister. I'm kinda scared, I thought this shit only happened in chinese cartoons.

>spends 1000$
>are there better iems that I should have gotten instead?
This was the least dumbest part of your post.
>Finnish company promises to train asylum seekers into programmers in 6 months
>Learning programming in such a short period of time seems like a major challenge. According to Lahti you can learn to program within 6 months, if you fill the requirements and you work eight hours a day.

What do you think /g/? Do they stand a chance to learn the skills required in a work environment within 6 months? When I started out with my computer...

They can learn to program, but then that doesn't mean they'll be good programmers. Just like learning how to paint doesn't suddenly make you Leonardo de Vinci.
Considering their goal is to make people ready for the market, obviously that'll go wrong.
>>54353795
6 months to become a code monkey? i can see it happening
Instead of Prajeets we will have Abduls and Mohammeds
Any more operating systems I need? Remix OS is basically some botnet Android for x86 btw.

Will VR be the next big thing?
>>54353499
>>54353499
No, VR is another flop like wearable tech. I am curious what they're going to try after VR is confirm for flop, though. Maybe AR? I know Microsoft is sorta trying. It seems like smartphone stuff has hit its peak, nothing is new in the desktop world, and nothinxxxg else (wearables, VR) is necessary/has gained enough popularity.
I don't think that the mobile market has it is *end* though, obviously. It seems like innovation has slowed down...

Hey, /g/. I'm trying to create an SQL function that makes it so you can insert information into a table but only when you are admin. The problem is, my admin 'userid' is in my 'users' table, and the information I want to be able to insert is in the 'comments' table, so when I try to post something it says I cannot because of a foreign key confliction. tldr - is there a way to reference multiple tables in one SQL statement? My latest unsuccessful attempt at this is as follows - ""INSERT INTO `comments` (`title`, `post`, `postdate`) VALUES ('$title', '$post', CURRENT_TIMESTAMP) REFERENCES `users` (`userid`)";"
>>54353386
what is running the SQL transaction? php? who is php connecting as? is the admin user a mysql server user or an arbitrary user you created for your application?
>>54353470
PHP. The first user I created I named "Admin" with an ID of 2 and I'm writing the rest of my code so that certain things can only be done if the admin with an ID of 2 is logged in (eg, ($_SESSION['userid'] == 2)).
>>54353495
well you could create a VIEW. and then update data by calling your view

downloading, unpacking tar and unpacking gz i got here and i don't know what to do now. google left me with more open question marks and the readme is equally confusing. help?

Have you tried restarting your computer?

its unpacked in my download folder for now. should i move it somewhere (like system32) before doing so?
You got the source code. If you're not a developer then you don't care about the source, you need the compiled binary. Go back to where you found that and look for a "windows binary" or "windows installer" download
