Doesn't it use chromium now?...
Does your phone have 5Ghz wifi capabilities? What difference does it actually make?
roast your balls at 2x the rate
Yes.
5GHz can be faster if you're in an area with a bunch of other 2.4GHz networks or other interference, but has shorter range and is more affected by obstructions between your phone and the AP such as walls/floors.
>>54365958
>What difference does it actually make?
about 5ghz
I opened up a cd/cassette player, think I shocked myself on one of the silver things sticking out.
How serious is this? Do I need to go to the doctor?
(yes it was plugged in, did not MEAN to touch that shit, though)
>>54365901
You only have days left to live.
You will die in the next 5 minutes from heart failure
RIP in pieces
You need to go to the doctor because you're fucking metally retarded.

We are collectors, new versions of our ancestors who would collect other objects, except now it's JPEG files.
What's next after JPEG/SVG/GIF/BMP/PNG/webm?
How about a file format representing human thought and neural firing patterns?
>new versions of our ancestors who would collect other objects
But did our ancestors masturbate to their collections? At least my collection has a "purpose".
its just another version of hoarding. digital hoarding
>>54366052
There can be many purposes. That's what is great about digital formats. From humor to sexual shit.
My uncle found his old Pentium III PC while he was cleaning his house. He let me take it.
I would like to use it for basic things, such as internet, ofirmatics, etc. and put it in my garage.
Which is the lightest Linux distro for a PC like this?
>>54365781
Puppy is the obvious lite linux distro suggestion. How much RAM and HD space does it have? He would probably be fine with LXDE/XFCE Debian.
>>54365829
256 MB/ 20 GB.
I was thinking in Lubuntu, but I think it's too much.
i'd personally put arch on it
and probably dual boot it with windows me if it has a reasonable gpu or if i got one for it, to run some classic games (say what you will about ME, i personally had no problems with it, at least no more than 98SE had)
/g/, I need a new DNS zone for accessing my Hentai.

People who think "free software" is the same thing as "open source software" are worse than people who think "free software" is the same thing as "software available for no cost"
Prove me wrong.

So, I have this sweet 64gb USB 3.0 drive,
and for some reason the edgier side of me really wanted to turn it into an 3L1T3 H4X0R device, so I formatted it and made it a Live bootable version of Kali.
But now my incompetence has caught up with me and I actually need a storage device I can use and access with Windows. What's the best course of action for erasing all data on the thing without harming it?
Reformat it.
format it?
I don't know what you mean by harming it
>>54365644
I just figured that some methods of wiping data might not be optimized for electronic storage devices, considering they have a limited number of writes and all
but I'm a fucking noob so that's why in asking for advice

Hey guys need some help here. I am a poor fag living in a shithole underdeveloped country and my lumia 520 just died. I can only purchase entry level models. So...
Should I stick with better hardware lumia phones with shitty apps or better buy an android phone with limited hardware but decent apps?

Hey /g/, is faster ram worth the $$$.
How is 2133Mhz compared to 2400Mhz and 2400 to 3200.
if you would benefit from faster RAM then you would know
For all i know faster memory is a meme. You do get higher frequencies but you also get higher latencies. Just make sure you match Frequencies on all your modules
>>54365580
2400 is enough if the motherboard can handle it otherwise 90% of modern cheap and decent motherboards can run 2133 and that's the to go option anyway.
For gaming it doesn't matter for everything else it does, especially when you overclock.
What linux distro and DE would you recommend to someone who has never touched any OS besides Windows?
>>54365539
Ubuntu or
Mint MATE
You can also try Arch with latest KDE.
Gnome is an abomination.
>>54365539
Best tip: Stop overthinking it. Just hop on
Learn as you go, you won't know anything at first but with time you'll get accustomed to it. Don't feel ashamed that you don't remember how the entire Gnu/Linux system works and what all the core utilities do and what arguments they take
