Puppy Linux is the cutest distribution
i tried it and Ubuntu has more programs in package manager than puppy
Can puppy run Firefox or chromium?
>>54369679
As long as you can get the programs you need, is the size of the repo that important?
>I use linix
lmao

Why does my 980 Ti do this? At random points the card will ramp up all the way to full speed and drop back down in a random cycle.
>>54369201
It is probably quickly trying to process the botnet code without being noticed

is there a tool that can show me what processes are using GPU?
Need a decent laptop for film editing at film school.
How will this do / could I get something better?
http://amzn.com/B019G7VOSO
>Could I get something better?
>1TB 5400RPM
Yes.
>>54369190
Buy that then buy a better drIve like an SSD BUT ANYTHING BUT 5400RPM
>>54369290
Would a boot drive SSD be decent enough, say 250gb?
>my mom just wanted a computer for pictures and web browsing at home so I built her an ATX mid tower with a GPU
a PC for casual internet use has literally no reason to be bigger than a minibox
a gaming PC with only one GPU has literally no reason to be ITX
a gaming PC with two GPUs has literally no reason to be bigger than mATX
K
>>54369187
>a gaming PC with only one GPU has literally no reason to be ITX
I don't like loud and hot little boxes.
>>54369187
Cheapest motherboards and cases are micro-ATX. Space is cheap unless you're traveling.
So I want a little tablet to use for movies and books and shit. I was looking at Dell Venue 8 7000 but
>Dell

Gimme your Xposed modules. I'll start:
-GravityBox [KK] (for all those neat tweaks)
-Xtended Navbar (quick settings as a navigation bar page)
-XuiMod (small UI and animation tweaks)
-Apps with Xposed support (Lucky Patcher, Permission Manager)
Any substitute for snapprefs? I think they stopped updating it.

>xposed
>on lucky patcher
Consider sudoku
Jugar Greenify and youtube adaway.
anons, can a zip file be encrypted such that it can be decrypted differently depending which password is given? I have an encrypted zip file for which the password will be provided one month from now. The idea is to prove that this person knows something now, without revealing what it is. If they can decrypt different content using different passwords, then it could be a scam. The data in the file will be public knowledge by the time the password is revealed. Is this a legit way to prove something or can it be gamed?
nope
yup
What books/equipment should I purchase to better learn networking?
I am only competent enough to set up wifi networks and home network stuff, but I want to learn more server, WAN, etc stuff.
Essentially, what is a good book to start learning marketable networking skills?
Thanks /g/
Just get a Network+ book
One advantage I can think of is going to get the N+ cert which is something employers like
>>54368818
Study for the CCNA
http://www.amazon.com/CCENT-ICND1-100-101-Official-Guide/dp/1587143852/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1462333532&sr=8-1&keywords=icnd1
There's this book for the ICND1 cert. You'll also want to pick one up for the ICND2.
Or, register at your nearest community college and take a CCNA class there. Probably easier and will have more resources.
>>54368818
Seconding a Network+ book. It teaches the basic fundamentals of networking which considering your lack of experience is probably what you need.
Why is qBittorrent doing this?
0.2 - 0.1 - 0.3... It keep switching.
>>54368729
It's a feature. It prevents hoarding.
>>54368737
I like the optimism.
>>54368729
Because you have queuing set in some fucked up way
What can I do with a not so high end tablet that I can't update cause verizon sucks nuts?
Install gentoo
shove it up your ass
If it's android you can try and root it.
Am I ugly, /g/?
I can take it
>>54368382
You're gorgeous bb
How do you go from this?
Free software, not even ones, it's just as harmful as injecting marijuanas into your eyes.
Yes you are fat and ugly. What only makes you attract other people is what you madd GNU Linux but that isn't going so well too though. The wifi and ethernet doesnt work after fresh install and it overheats the laptop, creates grub problems and eventually the system fails.
I did a quick scan with the built in windows 10 antivirus on my little cousin's computer and it found this many infected files
I think this might be a new record for me. Is this normal? Post your own stories or records. His computer was full of a bunch of bloated programs that all tried to run on start up, and I'm pretty sure it also had a chinese bitcoin miner. He's one of those stereotype kids that try to download every game by all means possible.
I had so many viruses on my old toshiba laptop from free games and clicking the green buttons of everything that my computer got really hot and imploded on me. it gets to the windows logo and instantly blue screens. i managed to scan the harddrive with malwarebytes by using a connector to a another computer and it found like 5000 viruses and a whole bunch of adware.
>>54368377
Are you fucking stupid?
>>54368423
No one can be that stupid
Please help me /g/ I had a 8gb flash drive for about 4 years now and just recently the shell fell off by accidental pressure, the little spring from inside also dell off, and now neither my computers is detecting it. Can it be fixed?

>>54368343
There might be idk, show up actual pictures
Also buy a new one, they're super cheep
>>54369085
Or don't.
Has anyone had experience in creating bots for online streaming platforms? I'm planning on working on one so any advice would be appreciated.
>>54368299
Bots as in comments?
It's pretty easy, copypaste a bunch of real comments and let the bot auto post them at random.
I have no experience with bots, so i was more curious of how to actual create the code for the bots.
