Let me guess, got a great deal off eBay? Those things are fake and dangerous, will probably explode in flames one of these days.
OP here I don't like iOS I had 6 in 2015 sold it I just don't prefer iOS and how it works.
Is discussing pc chairs /g/ related? What is everyone sitting on now? What do you recommend?
Chairs are a thing you have to have, and which businesses have to buy in huge quantities.
Thus, the good ones are almost universally overpriced to hilarious degrees, normally just under a thousand.
It sucks.

An Aeron.
If you cant snag an Aeron off ebay for 350-400, go for something from Steelcase.
>>54375386
are dx racers any good compared to aeron or something in that ~1000 price range?
Really didint think this would come true but im actually interested in linux, fuck you /g/.
Can i have some good casual plebtier OS and do something productive on it, im tired of gaming and bored of windows.
>>54375381
I'd recommend starting with a "just werks" distro like Mint or an Ubuntu flavor (pick one with the Desktop you like, I personally like Kubuntu for newer machines and Xubuntu for older machines). Use this distribution to learn the basics of the command-line, find programs you like to do what you want, whether it's programming or simple web-browsing.
Try everything, try anything that even remotely interests you, every browser, every distro, don't be afraid to shop around. If you like *buntu...

I ended up getting into (GNU/)Linux because I had an old laptop that I wanted to get working, so I used Xubuntu, and found it to work perfectly for classwork. Right now I'm on Debian with KDE, but I've tried pretty much everything under the sun, and that's really the best advice anyone can give you. Don't be afraid to like something other people say sucks, don't be pushed into using something you hate by the /g/ echo-chamber, etc.
Hope to see you in /g/fglt/ :)
You don't want Linux, you want change in your life. You use your computer more than any other object in your home and possibly the world, so you will obviously search for change there first. You don't want Linux, you just desire change. If windows is working from you but you're feeling "bored" of it, it's likely the first signs of depression. Remember that depression first rears its head in the form of having your previous hobbies or activities no longer interesting (gaming, for you).
What you need is a fresh start. Perhaps try to pick up a new,...

How can social democracy and electronic anonymity possibly work together?
Like, how are the authorities supposed to know who to tax if they're forbidden from knowing anyone's accounts or transactions?

You've presented a false dilemma where the choice is between the govt. knowing everything or knowing nothing.
>>54375396
I presented Stallman's view that a government should know nothing about its citizens and that it should provide an extensive welfare state.
Hi bro, I'm asking for advice here
I move from my flat in two months, and I wanna build my own multimedia center and I was seeking advice on how to build a good multimedia center.
I actually have a pretty good PC which can be linked to my full HD 48" TV. I'm currently seeking something related to the sound, like a 5.1 home theater and other cool stuffs.
I don't have a low budget but well, I'm still a student so my funds arent illimited

Anyone tried this out yet? I just got it off F-Droid. Looks like yet another Firefox build.
It comes with a bunch of add-ons, some of which disable non-free Javascript, but you can disable or remove them.

just use fucking Lightning, firefox and anything that comes from it is absolute shit on phones
Thanks for the info. I'm using Icecat on Desktop and Firefox on Android. Will try Icecat on mobile right now.
>>54375277
If you're on android<=4.4, don't use lightning. The system webview is terribly outdated and can't be updated.
Is it worth it?
Only if you use 1gb or less a month
>>54375160
Basically this. I can't complain about the service, but 10$/GB is a bit much.
If you hate mobile data and phones with microsd slots with all of your heart then I guess.

Why this bullshit distro has a black cock name? Some kind of an inside joke?
>>54375062
>I'm a retard that doesn't know the name comes from aliens
Using Manjaro expands your prick you black man levels. How do I know you ask? I want to give you a good idea about my prick. My prick is 55 centimeters, without the knob. The knob is 25 centimeters. Altogether, is 75 centimeters. It is a very nice prick. Sometimes I have people, they come from all the world to take some photo, and they pay big big amounts, about one million dollars. If you want to have the low quality, you pay 100 dollars, but if you want to take photo, this is very expensive. Very, very expensive, about one million dollars. You understand, Mr. Criminal? This...

Are you fucking stupid? Read the article. It's a bug related to image conversion where arbitrary code execution on the remote server is possible if you upload a specially crafted image with the wrong header.

I'm using a mouse sort of like pic related in ubuntu and want to change the behavior of the numbered side buttons; what do?
>>54374906
Throw your gaymer trash mouse out of the window and buy one that is not used by 15 y/o /v/ cucks
>>54375262
Look m8 I didn't buy it someone gave it to me. I'm only using it because the old mouse doesn't even have back and forward buttons and I'm not going to buy a mouse if I have a functioning one.
>>54374906
They include a phone function in mice now?
I have access to a google drive but I'm not sure how to take out the contents without it appearing on the Activity Stream or some sort of internal admin controls that google provide for the owner.
Any ideas?

Does anyone have any experience with washing super filthy PC cases?
Got this filthy old Thermaltake Shark case from a friend. It's clogged up with brown dust and smells like shit. Air compression doesn't do shit. Can I just bathe it in isopropyl or use soap and water? There are some kind of super thick filters in there as well that don't seem to come off.
>>54374686
I washed a case with plain dish wash liquid, nothing extra.
Just let it dry for a half day or so to be sure.
I don't see an issue with washing the case as long as you remove any USB ports or power switches etc. You could get a high pressure water hose attachment to get that stuff off.
>>54374686
Have done that multiple times on old cases. You shouldn't have a problem if you dry the case properly.
