when will battery calculations actually be accurate?
Never.
>>54378050
They can't ever be accurate because of varying amounts of load uses uneven amount of power over time.
When you purchase a battery that isn't fucked, and not one of those cheap no-brand ebay replacements.
Always worked fine for me other than on dying battery packs.
>FSF can't make Hurd usable
>meanwhile, two canadians make a complete microkernel unix-like OS widely used and stable
Why GNU software sucks so much?
meanwhile, the FSF makes GCC, all of the coreutils and other shit people depend on. The scope of the FSF's work is a lot larger than something like QNX.
>>54377764
>Thinks coreutils is some big achievement
lmao, busybox has all of gnu coreutils functionality with significantly a smaller footprint. GNU code is bloated trash.
>>54377709
Hurd (Mach) is already usable; there are even multiple distros out there using it.
Manjaro is pretty cool to be completely honest familia.
Anyone else using it?
Yeah, it's pretty cool. Enjoying it really.
They hold updates for a week without even testing them. Lol

No.
Hi everyone. I would like to know if there is an open source Windows app I can use to run my small power-tool repair shop. Something to track ordered parts, client names, prices and such. Some kind of database app I can modify a bit to my liking?
Main PC is running a register and inventory, but I would like to have an easy database app for notes, ordered parts, repair schedules and shit like that... Can anyone point me in the right direction?
>>54377510
Excel
Already tried that. I had multiple Excel sheets and shit got really screwed up really fast. Also, Excel is not a good database solution. Access is, but that is way over my head.
Any suggestions?

I've tried the DVI, VGA, and HDMI ports. No video from any of them.

Did you change the setting in the BIOS?

Does that mean they will give me a brain controlled gf?
Sounds good to me.
They don't need nanobots as long as they control mass media.
Fuck, we've got a majority of literal radio-controlled "people" already.
Looking to buy my own modem/router when I move, so I don't pay to rent one from the cable company.
Is there a top notch wireless modem/router combo?
Is there any pro/con to having a separate router and modem other than simplicity of one machine?
I know to look for 802.11ac and to find dualband 2.4 and 5. any other numbers to look for?
really any opinions on quality items is greatly appreciated. I have not done research into these pieces of tech before.
always pick router with ddwrt firmware support.

http://www.cnet.com/news/top-wireless-routers-that-can-run-open-source-dd-wrt-firmware/
Running DD-WRT, which is free, on a router is very much like using Linux on your computer instead of Windows or Mac OS. However, in this case, the experience is a lot more consistent, since stock firmware of different networking vendors are vastly different from one another. On top of that, DD-WRT generally provides a lot more features and much more in-depth customization and configuration compared with most, if not...
