Hey /g/
I know there's a strong sentiment of resentment against Logitech's g500 series, but what is the consensus on the g502 Proteous Core?
I had mine for a while. It's got a nice grip, but it fatigues my right arm after a few MM's in CS:GO. The weights are a nice addition, but I kept them out of my mouse.
>>54386029
Scroll Wheel sucks and the gaming logo ruins it even if the light is turned off that's all I have to say about it
>>54386029
Decent. Not necessarily the best, but there's a lot to be said for comfort.
Despite what shitposters and shills will say on here.
>>54386029
Really couldn't give a shit. Gaming mice are the biggest meme here.
I have a file text with 20k lines. Each line has an x, y, and z variable.
> X:40.23 Y:10.30 Z:15.13
I need to replace every line with an increase of 40 in the X and Y place. The above line would look like this:
>X:80.23 Y:30.10 Z:15.13
How?
pic related.
>>54386024
Learn to program.
>>54386137
This. I could write a 10 line python script that does this, probably even less.
>>54386024
quick and dirty?
import into excel as custom CSV
map formula onto those two columns, overwrite, export.
Does technology make people closer or further apart?
Most people on 4chan have spent their childhoods online, watching tv or playing video games, they also happen to be socially retarded.
It brings loners closers and tears normies apart
It brings us closer to our waifus.
All I get is either a still image or some kind of weird low res slideshow

VLC is the most bloated and crappy piece of shit the open source community has ever put together.
Universities keep giving them money stolen from tax payers from countries as France though, so they'll keep pretending that one day they'll get their shit together, but not, VLC is definitely the proof of concept that end-user open source software is and always be a failture
>>54386011
just because your animu gets glitched when you pause it or the font rendering doesn't fit your taste doesn't mean open source in general is shit.
having this only semi-related tantrum says a lot about your butt status
>>54385949
What command are you using?
It works fine for me
Hey I have a chance to score a server with 4 e5-2607s in it and in doing my research I can't find much that shows its rendering performance so I can quantify how well this would do in adobe premier and for virtual machines.
How does it compare to other Sandy bridge cpus like the e5-2607 and desktop cpus like a 5930k?
Whoops meant to say 4 e5-4607s
Bumping because I can't find Jack not even cinebench benchmarks for this thing
>>54386136
Per-thread is probably around half that of the 5930k, but you'd have four times as many cores, so maybe up to twice the overall performance in heavily multithreaded tasks.
Is chocolatey reliable at this point?

Need help organizing files.
I have downloaded threads with images inside. Unfortunately the files range from just one to 300.
If I were to distribute this how would I organize it? Put all the images in one folder? Just remove the ones with not many responses?
I feel like people will want to be able to filter through the threads since they're related images.
Maybe append each filename with the name of the thread to make it easy to filter out?

Why are you asking this on a technology board, like, what the fuck man?

Hc? Adv? None of these fit it
Looking for good portable folding headphones for commuting/traveling.No earbuds, I hate them.
Already have the koss ksc75 and enjoy them, but i'm looking for a little more bass response, and the ear clips aren't that sturdy. Any alternatives rather than the portapros?
>>54385701
Yes.
>>54385701
You just want folding headphones? As in, foldinf dlatw, or folding in?
Koss DJ200s, Audiotechnica m50xs, Sony MDR v6s
All headphones smaller than 40 mm are pretty manageable on commute.

What the hell?
Folding flat. That's what I meant to ask.

wasn't it fun, though.
you should have try arch. seriously. not memeing or anything. i know you can do it because i was you five years ago.
also arch is less retarded than mint, and if you use the AUR, most shit that people had trouble, like your "no drivers" is probably already there, plus all the archwiki explaining what to do, and the forums that have almost every problem already solved.
truth. you will find some bumps, but is worth it.

LG Gram laptops or zenbooks specifically the UX305. I'm using a UX305 right now and it's pretty good if you are only doing documents, media watching and webrowsing. Also a good battery life.

How many of you actually completed one of their courses/went through the videos & exercises?
How useful was it? Did it help you prepare for another class? Did it help you pass an interview? Were you able to follow from the videos and do the exercises?
I'm about to start Mathematics for Computer Scientist as a quick review & then do the Algorithms course.
it's not as useful as actually going to class

For math, I'd start with the Art of Problem Solving contest prep books. If you master the material in those, you will be more overprepared for college math than 99% of freshman. Follow that up with Velleman's How to Prove It and Spivak's Calculus.
If you finish this much and still have time to spare before you start college, I'd learn linear algebra. MIT OCW Scholar has a great course and the instructor's book is great, and Klein's Coding the Matrix is a great and cheap book that'll...

I don't really care about privacy, so why should I use linux over windows? It interest me but a lot, but no AMD drivers, no games, no good DAWs that I'm aware of. So if you do use linux, why?
You shouldn't.
It's fun and it's yours to do with anything you want
