Ubuntu's vision is Linux on all devices, with ui's that adapt to the screen size.
Gnome isn't even willing to look at Ubuntu's suggestions. So they did what everyone keeps saying. They built their own solution to it.
If you don't like it, stop complaining and change your DE/distro. Or better yet, fork some DE and make your own.
I place it on bottom and slap on some nice numix shit, also tweak the size a little

But 2FA opens up another attack surface, one can intercept incoming calls and smses and take over your account.

for that case you got hardware tokens like SecurID
Can someone clarify for me how V-Sync works when you are at framerates in between integer quotients of your refresh rate?
The way I understand it is that if you are in between one of those quotients, you are dropped down to the next quotient while frames are held in a buffer until the framerate recovers. So for example on a 60Hz display without triple buffering, if you are at 50fps, then you are effectively playing at 30fps until the framerate can return to 60. With triple buffering you would be dropped to 45 until 60 is recovered.
Is this correct?

Hi,
I'm looking for a wearable device that allows me to read text quickly and without straining the view (so discreet display). I need it for a TV show and I can not have a notepad to read the notes that might be too many (I do not think they occupy much space, but I do not know).
Also I would not want to read only .txt files.
Budget; around 100s.
Thanks so much

Samsung Gear S2 is $300 and the bezel twists to cycle through things like text. Check it out on youtube or something. Also youre a faggot
but my budget is around $100
Let's be honest here.
I own a pebble and it's definitely not as good as any of the other watches but the battery life and the display is pretty much as close as you'll get to a real watch while still having features.
Plus pebble has evernote :^)
Who uses this thing on a regular basis?
I use it, it's great with all the gestures and shit, pretty convenient to have. But holy shit if you have sweaty hands don't even bother.
>>54389399
I use the 2. Never had sweaty hands while using it, pretty handy thing though.
>>54389448
I couldn't get used to clicking on that thing. The magic trackpad 1 is harder to click for sure, but at least gives more feedback if that makes sense.
I just got the 2 and I hate the clicking compared to how it was on my 2012 rMBP. I've gotten used to it, but even now it's not the same as the satisfying click you get with the old style Apple trackpads.

Use Kon Boot from a USB or disc.
Does anyone know how I can make the default background color in my browser black instead of white? Can I change something in the registry to do this?
you can use userstyles
>>54389026
1. install gentoo (optional)
2. install a real browser like firefox, nightly, pale moon, and other forks
3. install stylish addon and type@namespace(https://www.mozilla.org/keymaster/gatekeeper/there.is.only.xul)
body{
background-color: black !important

What's up nig/g/ers,
my parents decided to buy me a brand new laptop as a present. I watched dozens of videos and reviews to the laptops in the heading, but still feel like shit, wanting the more expensive XPS 15.
Am I just a Apple-like Fag who wants
`Good design > Overall specs?`
Is it even justified to get something so expensive? Are there any alternatives for good business laptops that don't scream "Virgin" (Thinkpads) or are for Gayming?
Is that the most beautiful woman to have ever existed? I've known about her for a decade or so and no one has surpassed her in terms of facial attractiveness.

Performance?
Need some help here.
Restarted my computer, and upon reboot I got a black screen, no BIOS, no mouse and keyboard LEDs, nothing.
Now, if I disconnect my GPU it works fine, it seems. However, when the GPU is plugged in its LEDs come on.
Is my GPU shot? It's not that old and it's not as though it's been beaten up.

OP here, my GPU was not inserted all the way in my motherboard. Everything is in working. Haha.
