Hey /g/ how do i home build the closest thing to a robot gynoid today?
I'm thinking the ideal way would be to buy a real doll and empty it out to fit a preferably round mini tower. Next I can could get a very basic speaker and fit it into the head and connect through the neck. Unfortunately the back will have to be somewhat open for cooling and inputs.
I'm sure all those parts are fairly self evident. The real hard part is how do i build semi functional bones and 'muscles' I don't expect it to walk or pick up anything but i would like...

Sounds terrible.

I know but nobody is mass producing the part yet so what else can i do?
>>54414138
Congrats! You have the saddest thread on 4 chan right now.
No repair/fix thread?
Possibly a dumb question but I need to replace the circled diodes but don't know specifically what kind they are, can anyone identify and or link replacements?
Bump
anyone?

they literally have their model number printed on them.

Hard to read, what about voltage and amperage?
What does /g/ think of PayPal? Is it as safe as people claim and what technologies would make it or something similar possible? Would you use it/why or why not? Do you think it will remain a viable way of paying over the internet in the distant future? Let us discuss PayPal.
It's great. I had some trouble with payments last month. Paypal paid what I owed out of their own pocket because they couldn't take it form my bank account since it was already in the negative. Then when I got my paycheck this month I refilled my paypal "wallet" or whatever that's called. It really helped me. If they'd taken the money out of my account I probably wouldn't have been able to eat for a week. Fuck lawyer costs.
I was in a lecture where a Prof demonstrated weakness in PayPal, but it was two years ago.
The company can freeze your account without a real reason
It's shit

Is this why they skipped 9?
>>54413898
Windows 8.1
>>54413898
Windows 8.1 is basically 9 because 8 + 1 = 9
>>54413898
actually:
>95 shit
>98 a bit better shit
>ME shit
>2000 great
>XP shit
>vista great & underrated
>7 overrated shit
>8 great
>8.1 great
And why is 2000 ahead of ME in your post?
Would you live in a pod /g/ ?
>>54413868
No. My home is my fortress. It has to be big enough for me to feel comfortable, as I don't like small spaces. Plus, a pod like that isn't really "mine".
>>54413868
We already do, anon.
>>54413868

yes

no
Why is the 64-bit version of Chrome still in Beta for Windows? It's 2016. Right now I'm using Canary and 32-bit Chrome. Canary started crashing this week on reddit an 4chan.
>>54413838
What are you talking about? There has been 64-bit Chrome stable for a while.

Where is it?

So /g today I got my case for my new computer, I was super excited and and put all the parts together even though I don't have the sshd yet. I get everything in the case and setup and then this shit happens.
I tried everything, taking the CPU out and reseating it, CMOS reset, disconnected all parts and power then reconnected the power. Now it's just the board CPU ran and PSU.
All the parts are brand new and I thing one of them might be bad can you tell in the vid if it's my PSU, CPU, or board that's shot or if there's a fix?
>>54413803
Your mobo comes with a manual that tells you the debug codes.
>>54413817
Yeah and it says CPU isn't getting power

I see that systemd is nsa cancer pretty much so what old distro version do i use thats free of this cancer?
Is there an old manjaro distro? an old ubuntu version before the amazon spyware and selling out?
>>54413792
who gave that pussy a gun?
looks like ubuntu 10.10 is a pretty good choice.
free of systemd or any amazonspyware, outdated and no updates but who needs them when its running fine and you can secure it?
>>54413792
Install Gentoo.
I'm not joking. Gentoo uses openrc instead of systemd.
If you don't want Gentoo, arch can have systemd changed to openrc, but that isn't officialy supported, and it might cause you trouble, and you won't be able to get help.

Alternatives to Spotify ?
Is there a alternative that doesnt require premium like spotify without ads or low quality?
Programs to download music are also apreciated
>>54413747
>streaming
no
>torrents
yes
>>54413747
If you're not willing to pay, download music yourself and use a regular music player.
>>54413747
Screw free, I would pay good money for a streaming service that has a library as big as spotify and works like old spotify but isn't like new spotify.
I'm still mad spotify went to shit and keeps shitting itself with each update.
Should an absolute beginner learn how to code with Python, C or C++ ?
Lastly, do you need to be good at Algebra or are the basics (subtract, add up, divide and multiply) enough ?
>>54413653
C if you want go learn everything from the ground up
python if you want to just start now
it depends on what you're doing, mathematics helps
>>54413653
I would recommend C# or Java for starters. Algebra may not be a necessity at first but it will be if you want to do anything worthwhile.
>>54413653
>how to code with Python, C or C++
No. Pick up SICP. It's not just a meme.
>do you need to be good at Algebra
Yes, abstract algebra helps tremendously.
Any other plebs in here?
I am

>Australian Craig Wright offered what he called proof that he was Satoshi Nakamoto, the creator of the cryptocurrency Bitcoin, months after we had identified him as a possible candidate. Almost immediately the crypto community assessed that the proof was “a scam.” However, two respected members of the Bitcoin community—Jon Matonis, a former board member of the Bitcoin Foundation, and Gavin Andresen, one of Bitcoin’s earliest programmers—said they had privately seen actual proof that Wright was Nakamoto. We spoke to Andresen, who described the...

Bitcoin is dead, this thread is shit, nobody cares who Nakamoto is anymore.
>>54413511
i created bitcoin using ruby and nodejs years ago before it was cool.
>>54413532
I created Ruby and Node.js. I am happy to see at least one person creating something useful with it.
Is C++ worth learning in 2016?
No, learn D instead

D has literally all libraries C has

your amount of ram times two
>>54413443
How much RAM does your machine have? I bet you have at least 16GBs.
>default
>caring about the results
>>54413443
if you have 16GB of memory then 32 GB of swap is the "recommended" amount as in "won't collide with anything" amount
