Asking "Hey guys, what's your opinion on x?" is frowned upon.
Wireless is frowned upon.
Headset requests are frowned upon.
Isolation ≠ Noise cancellation
If you dislike a headphone suggestion, try giving a better suggestion to whomever asked instead of going "hurr, brand x sucks"

Can we remove "Wireless is frowned upon" and "Headset requests are frowned upon"?
It just sounds elitist and doesn't convey why those things are considered bad. It's obvious by this point that there are plenty of people who don't read the pastebin, but at least it's useful enough to include in the OP. All those other things do is incite shitposting and ignorance when gamers come in asking for headsets and don't understand why they're generally considered bad.

>It just sounds elitist
What would you suggest to replace it with to warn posters that asking for advice in regards to them is likely to result in negative responses? Because that is what is going to happen unless they are lucky enough to be ignored.
>>54406776
Or are you suggesting to not even provide a warning and let them just be blindsided?
Retro tech thread
Old one died, let's see what you've all got.
Unfortunately, cannot connect the PLUS/4 due to a lack of having a monitor.
2 metal things at the top are Sears 9 transistor walkie talkies. Was really fun walking out in public with a 4ft antenna looking like a total autist.
>>54398793
I should mention the walkie talkies work great with zero battery damage whatsoever. Produced in 1966.
Also have an old Toshiba t3100. Boots just fine. It's not here though. Was really scared when I first turned it on because I forgot what old dust smells like.
Yeah I love these threads, how about my retro headfoams?
Pretty comfy desu.
>>54398877
Pretty nice. I bet the only reason they've been around for so damn long is because they're made out of metal. Had so many plastic headphones break on me.
Hey /g/irls, what is the size specification of the computer in this pic of this kawaii OS girl?

How do I "Rice the fuck out" of my machine?
Can you help me git gud, /g/?
I am completely terrible with computers, so speak to me as if I were 5 years old.
My last thread was deleted, and I assume that was because a mod thought I was attempting to start a fight because of Windows 10.
I don't intend to start anything, and I'll remove Windows 10 if that's a part of giting gud.
If this isn't part of thise board's topic, tell me what board to go to,...

Hello, /g/entoomen. I need a portable charger that will charge my iPhone 6s multiple times during a 9 hour road trip. What do you guys recommend? Is Mophie a meme? Also, portable battery general.

>charge my iPhone 6s multiple times during a 9 hour road trip
Return it and get a better phone.
>>54437142
Just go to the store and get a Sony.
They last for ages, Li-FePO4 cells that last more than 1000 cycles.

Pls no bully
What is this new file selector?
Is it because of Firefox 46 or something else?
It is even worse than the old one. Typing no longer moves the selection to the entry starting with what you typed, it literally opens an awkward as fuck filtered list.
Clicking once on something already selected activates/opens the folder, not the old doubleclick semantics
what the fuck is the GTK/Firefox team smoking
firefox has nothing to do with the gtk file chooser
>>54436868
Yes and no, 46 dropped gtk 2 support, and you can clearly see the difference between two

Literally no one there to use 15%-25% of the year. Should I set it up as a server or put Win 8.1 or 10 on it?

You probably want linux on there.
Why do people still buy Nvidia when their older generations get gimped so hard?
>>54436634
There isn't anything gimp'd about the Fermi, red rooster.
Gimpd drivers
Scared to buy the 1070 because Nvidia mite nuke the drivers to encourage me to buy a new card
Do the cards actually perform worse than they used to, or do AMD cards just get better?
Or do Nvidia cards perform the same in old games but get less optimization for new games?
What does /g/ think of Chrome OS?

Currently: Total shit
After they add Play Store support: Slightly less shit, but still pretty shit.

It collects your data 24/7. Using it simply isn't a smart idea at all.
So apparently Assange believes that Debian has been compromised by the US secret services.
What OS is he using if not even Linux is safe?

We're being raided/spammed, anon. Just sit back and enjoy all the black cock pictures while keeping decent threads open in separate tabs.
Fuck this broke as fuck library and its shitty installation. I've spent all day trying to get this shit working. In 3.1.0, they split the only useful functionality from the core and made it contrib. Only problem is: it's fucking near impossible to get the extra modules built with the actual library. Nothing I've tried works and there's nothing else out there.
There's VERY little documentation. The documentation provided on their site is poor, superficial, and often is written in broken English.
>can't even setup a basic lib
Guess you aren't a good programmer.
>>54436008
guess so
I found that getting this to work requires lot of copying and pasting from StackOverflow and the samples. Luckily I've never needed to bother with the contrib
I wanna play overwatch on my tv downstairs. This is the cheapest way to stream efficiently. But can I stream overwatch over if I add it to my steam library?
yes, as well as most programs
only thing is getting community controller configs for the steam controller can be a bit iffy with non-steam games/programs
