PC BSD, Free BSD
Open BSD, Net BSD
iOS, OS X Are all welcome.
Do you have a BSD Machine?
BSD is pretty comfy and it actually respects your freedom unlike Linux and the GPL.
Freedom + restrictions ≠ Freedom
OS X isn't BSD
>>54446895
It's a downstream derivative of BSD. As related as Linux Mint and Debian
nice normie apps

This isn't my actual home screen (the one that has a little house instead of a square is the real home screen) but It may as well be, considering I use this one the most.
Yes, they're both bad.
But which is the lesser of two evils? Does a dual core Celeron outperform a quad core Atom with a higher clock speed?

>Does a dual core Celeron outperform a quad core Atom with a higher clock speed?
Probably
>>54444641
You sound retarded but my 2957U does everything I need from playing games up to 2008,playing remuxes and bluray disks, runs office like a champ I even work in 3ds Max 2015 and no problems what so ever.
They are more powerful than you might think.

I'm the only who despises Windows "apps"?
They are fucking slow to open, lack features when compared to its web/.exe versions.
You are probably the only one who uses them. Just uninstall them.
>>54444615
>I'm the only who despises Windows "apps"?
I don't know, are you?
Learn how to phrase a question ya dumbass.
I don't.
I don't use them as I use other programs for my music, email, video, etc., but they're far from bad. For basic functionality that works well together with the rest of Windows, they're pretty decent.
So, I was reading the archives and looks like Transmission-qt is the best/most efficient/stable torrent client for private trackers
But how fuck do you manage 400+ torrents with that UI?
There is any way to give it a proper one?
Also, what about the official release?
Doesn't transmission have a CLI ui as well?
Forget the -qt now that the official one is out.
Hands down everyone, which system are you more productive on?

Hey fellas, I'm interested in recording vocals on my computer. Audacity. I'm not super professional and I usually use a regular ol mic..but I want to upgrade just a little.
Any suggestions on a moderately priced recording computer mic. USB or the regular plug in... My CPU is older and shitty.
>pic semi related my frustrstion
>>54444233
Samson Meteor Mic, great bang for the buck usb mic, you can plug in yo shitty analog headphones in it to hear your own voice without a delay.
>>54444305
Have you used it.. It's not what I was looking to spend but if it's solid and quality good.. It'll last a long time. Ect. I'd spend it
>>54444498
ive had it for over a year now, paired it with G430's
Cant reccommend this enough for the price. And the set-up is simple as scratching your nuts.

It's the only decent MS product, so not surprisingly a lot money, time and effort is invested in it.

There are multiple bugs related to having multiple users contribute to a file over the network which have been persistant for a decade now and Google Docs doesn't have a single one of them.
What's the best long-term data backup solution?
Multiple copies.
Get bluray burner if you don't already have one. Purchase some BR "m discs".
Burn all the shit you want to save to the discs.
Buy a fireproof suitcase or safe.
Store them in there.
Done.
Upload to Google Drive
At what playback rate do you enjoy your media? I've found audiobooks to be listenable comfortably at 1.7. 1.8 us still understandable, but not really enjoyable. I understand that the rate will vary between books.
I've just stayed playing videos at 1.1, and I can hardly tell the difference, while being marginally more time-efficient. I'm going to keep bumping it up until my girlfriend notices.
What rates do it for you /g/uys?
>>54443808
Pic unrelated
>>54443808
Never even considered increasing the playback rate. If you're enjoying the audio or video for fun or pleasure, why increase it to save time?
If it's for studying or work, I would understand.
>>54443808
i listen to everything on youtube @ 1.25x

Why
Seriously why couldn't AMD have revealed their cards first?
Now Nvidia stole all the thunder and are going to make a killing in sales.
Because they're not ready. Polaris is a huge change in architecture while pascal is a shrunk Maxwell
>>54443575
If AMD has a fucking epic reveal before Pascal sells, they steal a lot of thunder. Idiots always hype "highest performance"
>>54443575
au contraire, now amd knows the competition prices and can price their cards accordingly, imagine if their greatest new card was $600 because they were confident nvidia's would be over $800, they'd look foolish. Now the R9 480 can actually be priced slightly below nvidia's 1070.
Getting a 1080 at the end of the month. Should I buy a 4k monitor that is 60hz or a 2k monitor that is 144hz. Also would the 1080 be able to play most games in 4k?
KYS stupid goy.
Getting a meme at the end of the month. Should I buy a meme monitor that is 60hz or a meme monitor that is memehz. Also would the meme be able to play most memes in meme?
