I really wanna get into it but it's so rare that I do anything on the web that I haven't had a chance to. Although I'm pretty sure I'll end up preferring Purescript if I use Elm, assuming it has good FRP capabilities.
I wanna know what you think about it.

What features / abilites should an "intelligent personal assisttant" (or "AI" for normalfags) have to be considered useful?
There are many products on market (Amazon's Alexa, Microsoft's Cortana, Apple's Siri, Google Now, Hound, ...) and more are coming (Viv). They can make notes, check weather, tell a joke and maybe even play some media. That's basically a bit more than chatbots from 90s were able o do.
What skills would have to be implemented for intelligent personal assistant to be considered useful?

I'm getting a graduation present but my parents insist that i'm a gay retard who can't build a computer. They seem more than happy to pay the difference though so I get any prebuilt I want for under $2000. Anything past that I pay. I was thinking of getting this one http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16883221144&ignorebbr=1&cm_re=PPSSAQZSBXVKUC-_-83-221-144-_-Product Any suggestions or recommendations? Or if you'd like you can just call me a gay retard.
Is it possible to get a well paying job (>50k/year at least) in the tech industry without a degree? If so whats the way to go?
Tech support and fixing stuff?
I keep hearing on /g/ you have to start coding young to be an actually good programmer so I guess that one is dubious, my guess is networks and IT stuff works better for dropouts like me, thoughts?
Becoming a software dev worked for me. I already had like 10 years of programming experience from sitting in a basement all my life before I even started university.
I got into a shit-paying student programming job at a respectable company at around the same time (easy to get even without experience) but kept at it for some time.
After that I just applied for real programming jobs at other companies, never telling them I just came from a shit-paying student job.
Went along with the best offer (tripling my income), quit university and have no regrets.
So basically my point was that you don't need a lot of knowledge to get into those shitty student-jobs. You wouldn't believe how clueless my peers were.
And then you use that job as a stepping stone. But make sure you know your shit decently well before you try to get any real jobs.
