WhatsApp announced that it launched a desktop application that is available on both Windows and Mac devices. The company's Facebook said it supports desktop notifications, better keyboard shortcuts, and more. All messages are synchronized with WhatsApp mobile devices as well.
Earlier this week, leaked images indicating that a desktop application would be released soon, allowing you to send messages to friends and share files, all from your PC.

Why aren't you guys using Gentoo? I mean don't get me wrong; you can use whatever you'd like, but to me Gentoo is awesome.

Since I'm compiling everything from source using code for my native CPU architecture there's a significant performance increase overall. I can just set my configuration files in Portage and then let it compile (Which I like more than Ports for FreeBSD.) Portage in itself could probably be a bit faster, It has a lot of potential though.

Systemd is supported for those of you who enjoy it. I don't believe it's supported for hardened Gentoo, but that's understandable.

I'll always have some love for FreeBSD, Debian, Red Hat, Arch, Slackware LFS ect. but I think I'm sticking with Gentoo for now on.

I've only played around with this framework for a few days.
The biggest turnoff was the it made me build UI from code.
Programming languages are for writing logic, not building fucking UI. Just come up with some xml shit like xaml, html or android's views.
Less painful and forces you to separate presentation from logic.
