That's what you get for being dumb enough to use kikestarter

hi /g/ my Samsung S4 Mini died recently. Accoring to the repair guy it's the CPU and I bought the phone over 2 years ago. It was very slow, battery only lasted a few hours and it had lot of problems like restarting or no sound coming etc. So I don't want to pay to repair it and then have similar problems or another breakdown in a few months.
I don't really game a lot and when I do I play low graphic games like Knights of Pen and Paper or Gameboy emulators or RPGs. I don't really have a big hype for phones either so I just want to get something similar...

Don't have that brand here. How about P8 Lite?
How much equity should a Junior Developer (1 yr relevant experience) expect from a seed stage startup in NYC?
I understand that this is very subjective but I'm looking for a range. I don't really have anyone to ask for advice on this so I'm asking you guys. I'd be the 4th engineer.

you are a code monkey, easily replaceable by pajeet
Quarter of a point. You're just gonna be doing the bullshit no one else has time for
>>54503482
Thats about what the offer is. I'm going to be the 4th engineer. They're super legit, its not just some stanford butthole that thinks hes entitled to his own company, the guy is a vet. We'll see. It seems about fair for someone in my position.
Thanks for the feedback
If spacefaring aliens are out there, they must have seen our satellites and accessed our "internet."
What if an alien somewhere on the internet made a post? Finding a post or comment written by an alien would be undeniable proof that we are not alone.

How much can one man code all by myself in his basement and lead to concrete results used by thousands across the world and potentially make a profit out of it? Give me success examples to inspire me, I'm a noob but I believe the internet is the future.
Also share your own coding/developing success stories.
Dude, don't be delusional
I mean... you can do it. But it sounds to me you're just having a pipe dream of success. It'll take you lots of effort to even come up with an original idea, something that hasn't been done before, and a hell of a lot of coding, and you are already thinking about being the next jewckerberg. I bet you'll be watching stupid videos on youtube by day 3, instead of coding.
If you're even remotely serious, why come and ask on /g/? I rest my case
>>54502388
>original idea
you dont need any of those. just focus on getting good and knowing things and you'll be able to improve upon tons of projects or remake some that badly need it.

anyone got a PDF for this book?
i found the 5th edition PDF easily but it has some errors in it, i'm looking for the 6th edition which also has more questions in it.
Just go buy it. It's worth the money.
>>54501089
i would, but i got an interview coming in a couple of weeks and it won't make it to my country in that time. our postal services are very shitty.
>>54501104
Ah shit son. I'd scan some shit for you out of mine, but I'm out of town.
The book itself is pretty simple, and the answers aren't anything spectacular. The first few chapters are on data structures. Arrays, trees, graphs, etc. Have you tried any websites, or are you looking specifically for this book?
greetings ne/g/roes
Would any of you guys bother using an open source iOS 4chan client with webm support? (free as in beer)
Since Apple now officially supports side-loading unsigned third-party apps (and also compiling directly to a physical device), I figured I'd take a 4chan client on as my next pet project. But if none of you guys use iOS, then I won't bother.

I'snt there already a 4chan client for jb or are you saying for non-jb phones?

non-jailbreak
Nah, most of /g/ consists of pretty smart individuals who are also not fags. iPhones just simply don't appeal to us at all. Not only are they overpriced but crippled in numerous ways and lack way too many desirable features.
You might have more luck asking tumblr/reddit though, a lot of retarded faggots exist there.
Now with Nvidia's cards finally being announced the real problem remains.
You will need to use windows 10
nah son it will also work with linux and freebsd no problem here

Install FreeBSD.

Doesn't matter. Linux is for low specced computers which can't handle a decent OS.
Thread died last night.
I have started getting bored of computers, especially since I have drifted away from gaming, and YouTube is starting to get stale.
What are some things that I can do for fun?
I am not a neet or anything, have a great life outside, but using the PC is like my only indoor hobby and I want to keep it.
Some anons suggested that I start creating things, but I don't really know what.
What does /g/ do on the computer for fun?

sounds like another one of those excellent ideas that, while really clever, cool, beautiful and useful, will never see mainstream adoption because it's just too much of a change from what we're used to and the assholes in black suits and pockets full of money will do shit to stop it.
Also, every time a project says "a new protocol for ...", I think of pic rel

One of those badass things that won't get any traction for decades until what we currently have becomes such a problem that it's unusable.
We all know that once something stylish is seen being done/used/owned by someone who isn't cool or hip (or whatever you kids say these days), the popularity of that stylish thing decreases dramatically.
/g/entlemen, I plan to ruin Apple Inc.
First of all let me tell you a little about myself, I'm fat, have greasy black hair, quite a few spots here and there, and most of the time I fucking stink. I don't get on well with people outside of my own geeky little group, and despite being a huge failure, I'm still a sarcastic fucker who thinks he's...
