This is /g/, it's a board filled with people who have nothing better to do with their lives so they spend their time obsessing and trying to feel superior about the most inane shit.
>inb4 u don't know where u are XDD
Just because all you faggots do it doesn't make it any less pathetic.
How does an American get one of those fake MS virus support calls?
Fucking with those people sounds like the most fun ever.

>>54514986

Sucks to be you, OP. I don't use 7zip.
I bought Winrar and it's worth it for the file icon only.

>laughing steve jewbs

Oh the ironing

What would you call it when you're controlling a virtualised computer with full access to using the OS and a high speed Internet connection?
Is what I'm describing a seedbox?
Bumping for advice

VPS
Virtual Private Server

Thank you. I think it's exactly the sort of thing I'm after... Would you be able to recommend any?
why does this board hate consumerism and other money spending, yet adores mechanical keyboards, which are expensive toys with marginal difference from membrane and laptops, which are inherently unupgradeable and low-performance.
but don't you dare buying a new gpu or cpu

vs.
>already obsolete PCBs assembled by chinese slave children, sold at 500% margin with planned obsolescence which die 3 months after your warranty is over
gee I wonder
>>54514813
my 2$ membrane lasted 12 years. i'm typing this on it right now.
>>54514727
the anti-consumerist people are mostly trolls trying to rustle jimmies, don't expect any consistency

Can someome explain to me what a full stack engineer is? After several jewgle searchs I still don't get the difference between engineer, developer and scientist.
This pic related job post with requirements makes me more confused.
Are they just meme buzzwords?
cmon guys anyone
Someone who can develop both the backend and front-end of a end to end web service with good knowledge of database schema creation and query optimisation. In addition they also ask for a person with ability to develop API for the said web service to integrate with third party systems and do all that himself within impossible deadlines and not ask or demand credit for it because they will pay you a salary (which is marginally more that what flipping burgers might get you, but I could be wrong)

Ding ding ding! We have a winner!
How do I delay the time an email gets sent?
>>54514583

>>54514583
This will delay by 1 minute.sleep 60 & sendmail [email protected] < /email.txt
Guys, I fell for the Ubuntu meme. I'm too lazy to remove it and add gentoo/arch. What can I do to remove all it's spammy shit and make it not look like poop
Bonus points for web-dev workflow/tips
It would be faster to install something else than remove bloat
>>54514489

>Too lazy to add gentoo/arch
Then just install Manjaro
>turn on keyboard backlight
>see all bread crumbs and hair under my keyboard illuminated
>turn off keyboard backlight

What's the best monitor for not much more than 150 eurobucks?
I kinda like this curved Samsung one. Is it any good?
>>54514345
>curved
>good
No, it's not any good. I'm thinking about a nice 24" ultrasharp, maybe even the 4K version.
>>54515775
Don't really want to spend that much. Can you recommend a budget option?
How soon until there are 1440p monitors for less than $200? (US $ obviously)
How do I ruin a Macbook's software through terminal or something?

Would you guys be interested in a /g/ mail account system ?
Nothing really fancy, just a small server where you get unlimited mail storage (as in me running an old pc with a bunch of harddrives in it, about 3 TB of drives laying around) and a frontend part where you can set up a mail account or something.
Not gonna trust somebody from /g/ hosting my emails tbhfam
We already have one.
