>computers at the library are running Windows

They should be running OSX
So people wont try to fuck them up.
>>54516074
still better than no computers in library at all
>>54516074
They have to because windows is the most simple and world known OS people can use, if you give a standard citizen fedora 23 or centOS they will think the computer is broken.
Is having a system maintained by a group of devs on their spare time safe?
From a security standpoint,
Does Cyanogenmod provide any advantage compared to the default ROM?

How can I master this language? C++ was breeze but Java has been consistently been giving me problems. Specifically data structures and algorithms part of it
Maybe I just haven't out in enough time or idk.
How do you guys master languages? Any books on Java or vids /tutorials in general?
>Any books on Java or vids /tutorials in general?
No, it's pretty new yet OP, give it a year or two.
>>54515981
Well give me your favorite was what I meant.
>>54515961
yeah man those java algorithms are so hard
luckily, i just defrag'd my memory, and after that i was able to recursively populate the data structures in my VLAN.
How do I get past anti-adblockers? It just seems like it's getting harder. It's not like they're filters anymore; the content I want doesn't even load.
How long until everyone does this?

They'll actually have to stop doing it because the EU is going to write some laws about it, just like how they made every site give a cookie warning.
Why the fuck I can't choose which update to install in windows 10?
I got rid the auto updates via group policy because I don't want the shitty drivers or shitty patches like KB3156421 that doesn't work.
So this solved nothing, I've to install everything in the updates queue or nothing, wtf. Suggestion?

Notepad++ but with simple auto-complete.
What IDE fits that distinction?
>>54515695
>Notepad++
Using an editor who can't indent.
>>54515718
It's still faster then a few of the other graphical IDE's iv tried. Takes forever to just open and SO many features I will never use. I just want something simple and fast for quickly writing python.

Have you heard about emacs?

Is there such a thing as an ethical laptop?
sure, ethics are subjective
A laptop on its own is not a question of ethics
I wrote CSS lib for simple semantic HTML markup. No classes, not ids. Just tags. I think result looks good.

I have a problem with my laptop battery. It wasn't working then I opened it up and one of the 3 cells was dead. I replaced them all. Welded the terminals, soldered the wires, sensors and shit.
When I put the battery back in my computer, it charged and said 6% wear. Not too bad. Battery time in the meter was 1:30 hours.
I got into the battery calibration utility in the BIOS setup and did a calibration, rebooted into winderp and the wear meter showed 18%.
2 charges later, wear at 27%.
I charged my laptop, unplugged it to run on battery and it shows now 43% wear,...

Can't import shit from ebay (fucking 5th world shit ass country and it's stupid regulations).
Also, I love "DIY" and the only battery available is in Italy.
What exactly can you do with someone's ip address?
I got threatened by someone just now that he has my ip address, I know he's full of shit, but it made me thinking.
How hard is to hack in someones pc with only ip and him having some kinds of firewall.
You can SWAT them so that their dog gets shot and they potentially die in the raid.
>>54515162
yeah I'm not from freedomland, so stuff like that don't happen here.
>>54515135
Same as having your home address.
He could show up at the door to grandma... or four dobermans and Chuck Norris. It all depends on your network and setup.
Oh Shit! What can it be?
>>54515101
