What is /g/'s take on Dell Latitudes (old bulky ones of course, not the later-gen "muh minimalism" ones)?
I'm thinking of trading in my bulky desktop replacement HP laptop for one seeing as chinkpads have been "gentrified" by neckbearded collectorfags now.
If not, then what some other business-type laptops that are also good but not too jacked up in price?
latitude line sort of sucks, especially considering you can get old precision line for pretty cheap, and there are quite a few resellers of older precision so they'll also be more likely to work.
Also look into thinkpads.
>Also look into thinkpads.
I just did, but I keep hearing about prices getting jacked up because of "muh collector's item". By the time I save up, I still won't be able to afford one.
Though I haven't heard about the Precision line. I'll look into that.
why do people use meme os x?
Just wondering..what kind of gates does this qualification in cs open ?

Share your shameful secrets.
I replaced my NH-D14 with pic related. Fans are loud as fuck when CPU is under 50% load or higher, and temperatures are only negligibly better.
>using the stock fans
>not replacing them with Noctuas or similar god tier fans
fampai, you only have yourself to blame. Noctuas are 10dBa quieter and have identical performance to the stock corsair fans.
>buy leaky unreliable piece of shit to replace nice Noctua
>not even any better but very loud
>have to buy Noctua fans again anyway to make it quiet, but never as quiet as my old noctua heatsink, since it didn't have a pump.
Once again we prove why AIO water cooling is cancer.
I'm looking for a laptop for my aunt for up to 500€. Should be mostly able to run HD vids on a solid screen. Non shitty graphics card would also be a plus.
If you can't direct me towards a good laptop - could ya atleast post some companies to avoid?
Has anyone made the switch from an ultrawide monitor to a 144hz monitor? Am I going to regret it?
I've got a 144hz 16:9 (2560x1440) monitor.
I've never tried an ultrawide but if you're interested in gaming, which I assume you are since 144hz, you'll probably end up preferring the higher refresh rates (even on desktop use) and better compatibility.
Many games don't natively support 21:9, or their support is poor as fuck. So you'll have a mainstream ratio and less issue with that.
Do you really utilise the ultrawide factor of it a lot?
I'd love to have some use for it but I have two other monitors and a TV connected to my PC, and even with my 34" ultrawide I prefer to just watch movies from my bed on the big screen. It's great that 21:9 movies fill the entire screen on the ultrawide but other than that I think UW is just a big meme
Opinions on Logitech G930 headset?
Will the PC market still be viable in 4 years?
New to this shit so bare with me...
What is a good drone/camera setup so I can make vids of shit while I travel Europe?
Possibly willing to spend $1000 but $500 sounds a lot better.
Being able to live feed it to a v/r headset would be even more dope.
If you don't know anything about quadcopters, you'll be more likely to crash it within 5 minutes and throw it in the garbage than making videos with it.
How much time do you plan on training?
Polaris is just a rebrand. AMD has nothing to answer Pascal. It's over AMD is finished.
I'm writing a paper on Internet anonymity/anonymization. Can you recommend me some reading?
I went to pc world today and tried out Windows 10 on a store computer. Apart from the UI being ugly and presumably designed for Americans with fat fingers, I noticed no real difference between 10 and 7. Certainly nothing to make upgrading worthwhile. Is Windows 10 basically just snake oil?

There's other improvements for normies like more accessible file search query construction (using the ribbon), action center for all your Facebook and Twitter notifications, and of course UWP apps (much loathed by /g/, but a great platform for its target audience).
And then there are some more technical features where YMMV like UEFI...

If Linux is so slow, why is it used?
Can I sue them?
