Hey /g/uys. I make mathematics videos in MATLAB and I want to speed up the computation time. Is there a programming language I can use to do this? Or is MATLAB my best bet.
PS here's an example:

This question is so poorly conceived that I can only assume that this thread is an attempt at covert self-advertisement.

sorry if that's how you took it.
Basically I am generating a bunch of images based on matrix computations and I am wondering if MATLAB is the best tool to get the job done.

If raw speed is your goal then use C and throw your computation at the gpu.

Anyone have experience with knockoff gpus? My friend has this 650 ti and... it's pretty good
I never thought KO gpus are a thing
>>54565049
It is a 8800gt with a fake bios to show it as a different card. Your friend is an idiot.
>>54565111
I bought my GTX 1080 ti yesterday from some chinese vendor on street and it is 100% legit for sure but i can not find it in my bios help pls
Hey guys! I have a question. I don't plan on streaming or recording anything. I'd like to know if a capture card will allow me to play console games in a nice pixel perfect window on my Windows PC with zero lag. Is this possible?
>>54564230
PS4 already has official remote play functionality for PC and MAC
>>54564230
do capture cards still suffer terrible IRQ issues causing lag in the captured content itself?
>>54564230
a 1080p monitor is likely cheaper than an HDMI capture card
can anybody help me identify this subwoofer?
i know so far that it is an alpine type r 10 inch but i need the exact model
>>54564045
Can you use capital letters like an educated adult?
>>54564069
Sure?
That's honestly never been a problem on here. Just trying to get this done quickly.
>>54564045
Sure, get a sledgehammer and crack open the speaker box and look at the back of the subwoofer. The exact model number is probably written on the back of it. However, I hope its not, you lazy fuck.
Hey /g/, I'm looking for a 250mm quad drone frame because I'm finally starting with drones and I'm trying to build my own, but most frames are coming from sketchy Chinese sources that'll take 2 months to ship, anyone wanna help me out? If I can find a 250mm quad frame I have a friend that can hook me up with the motors and props. Looking for a decent frame under $50.
>>54563599
why build your own when you can just buy a dji
>>54563599
Awesome OP, I started building my own too. Mine has removable/repositionable arms and is currently 160mm, but I will probably convert it over to 200mm.
Anyway, I have found www.banggood.com to have excellent prices as well as very fast shipping, and the quality of the frame I got from them is very nice.
Heres a link, they have a bunch of 250mm frames for well under $50:

As a side note, I ordered from hobbyking as well and that order took about...

How the hell do I model a simple electrical circuit in MATLAB?
I want to build a circuit with Simulink in order to calcute its power factor, but I don't know how to build this so now I have to derive all the differential equations by hand, solve them with ODE45, then numerically integrate some things and do other calculations to get it.
You'll have to find the equations, and than make a model with those equations. If you want to just build circuits I would recommend some other software
But if you just want to solve differential equations with Matlab you can use Simulink instead of ODE45 etc (thats what i think you should do). Just watch a tutorial on solving differential equations with simulink, it's easy.

If you knew fourier transform/frequency domain it would help
does tor only use ram?
e. g. does it store images, content, etc only on ram?
Yes, it stores the child porn you're viewing only on RAM
It burns your browsing history and images viewed directly into an encrypted read-only file accessible to law enforcement agencies alone
also, is it legit that a lot of nodes are owned by the feds?

You're gonna bitch on /g/ when that breaks too?

>>54562712
I tried to bootstrap debian from the livecd but it did not work so I picked gentoo as it's easy to install from a livecd
>>54562712
Gentoo takes awhile to install but management is the best of any distro I've tried.

In your opinion what are some of the sexiest LOOKING mobos? Again, I stress looking.
The card can be a piece of shit that doesn't work but is the design sexy?
This thread should die.
>>54562279
Not a huge fan of that covering shitob mobos, I like seeing the caps
>>54562362
Agreed. The model one down from the one in the OP looks better. It actually is a really nice design as far as gay men motherboards go. Fairly understated.

Hello all, simple request:
I will soon need a program that can play audio files at different speeds. If it's important, I am talking about 0.25x to 0.5x speed. Can you recommend me a program with such a function? thank you.
Youtube if you want a webapp.
Audacity will work as well.
>>54561036
Audacity is for editing such files, but I'm sure it can be used for playback too.
You can either play the sounds at a different speed there, or convert them to a different speed and play them normally. it's free too.
>>54561047
>>54561051
Audacity seems a good choice, this will do. Thanks!
What's the most useful algorithm, and why is it the fast fourier transform?

is it from some CIA series?
Why am I getting terrible wifi speeds on OpenVPN? I get good speeds on regular wifi but when i enable openVPN it goes to shit.
>>54560611
Try switching to a server geographically closer to you.
>>54560611
are you using a free or pay service?
Most likely it's the VPN providers server, like >>54560620 says try changing the server location. Or you can try to ping all the servers the VPN provider has, and see which one gives the best RTT time.
But even with the "fastest" server, the server might have a large load, so it can't handle all the traffic.
