This Chromebook has a 2.2Ghz CPU and 32GB SSD. It has a OS that is only good for browsing the internet and running Android apps. And it costs $1000.
What am I missing?

Consumerism
A god tier screen and very good battery life.
>>54645072
The 3:2 screen alone makes it worth the price. I really dislike 16:9/10.

Has anything else even come close to utterly changing not just the human way of life but our ability to shape our surroundings with fire forged metals and control over the winter?

Router won't reach a room.
Router is connect to a PC via Ethernet.
PC has an unused N.I.C
Is there a way to connect the N.I.C to my phone and give it Internet via the Ethernet?
I've bridged the connection but I don't really know what next to do.
Virtual Router is giving me issues.

Get more wifi routers put them in repeater or wireless bridge mode...
>>54644965
It's not a big enough deal to get another router to act as a repeater. There has to be some way to make the N.I.C give out the internet provided by the ethernet cord.
So I've got this HP Home Premium 64 bit Pavilion laptop and it was working perfectly three years ago until recently. I'm studying a career that requieres me to use my laptop for everything and it's got so frustrating, I've tried everything and nothing works.

What power plan do you have Windows set to? Do you still have page filing enabled? And lastly you keep mentioned HDD. If you're looking to breathe new life into the laptop, I'd recommend a cheap 250gb-500gb ssd. Crucial BX200 480gb drives are usually $130.
As for Firefox freezing and etc, Firefox has gone to shit as of new versions. Not to be that generic /g/ poster but have you tried Linux? Might run smoother and if your laptop doesn't NEED Windows, you'd be better off.

It's windows 7, the pic is not my computer, just a random image, what would you recommend me instead to all those things you pointed out?
Okay guys, need some help here. I have an LG G4, and just got the infamous bootloop issue. It's probably a shit idea, but I'd like to at least have a temporary fix so I don't have to go a few days without a phone before it gets sent to LG for repair. Is there anything I can do to temporarily or possibly even permanently fix the issue? I've put the mainboard in the oven at 400 degrees for a few minutes already, and has given me use, but I know it is only temporary. Thanks everyone.
Put it in the oven again and eat it
Bump for desperation

Is 16GB of RAM a meme?
Not if you run VMs and shit like that.
Not if you run Google Chrome and shit like that.

My next computer will have 16GB of RAM or more.
I'm not actually from this board, but goddamn this thing is gonna ignite the machine revolution.

I'm looking for a video camera with better life than this. I want it to have similar stats and functionality, but with a ~90+ min battery life, preferably more.
I kinda would like a camcorder, like those little handheld ones, but I'm not sure what's actually good.
See, this one looks nice:

Well OP,
Want you want to is buy yourself a Canon 1DX MkII and a 28mm-70mm f/2.8 L series lens.
It's really good, most youtubers own one.
It may go past your $200 price point a bit, though.
/g/ please help.
I don't know whats going on anymore, Earlier today my computer winked out, and My second monitor, mouse and keyboard all lost power, I took the tower down to check and I can only assume the USB port on the back fizzled out, because each time I tried an individual plug it recieved no power.
But after fixing and putting it all back in, I found two things.
One. My external hard drive is no longer recognized by the computer (I tried it on my laptop, it sitll works and has data)
Two. My SD card reader no longer reads, it doesnt...

did your psu died?
>>54644366
I have no idea, and no idea how to replace it if thats the case.
>>54644366
Probably.
are motherboards as notoriously shitty and fragile as they are made out to be? They supposedly die if you touch it wrong and apparently companies ship out faulty motherboards all the time.
I'm asking this because I took out my 4 year old motherboard thats filled with dust and shoved it into a new case and it touched a lot of metallic parts and i even dropped my screw driver on it. but suprisingly it still works even though I assume i fucked it.
If it's some paper thin piece of shit maybe.
I get my hands dirty with motherboards and other supposedly fragile shit all the time, works just fine as long as you aren't being a hamfisted fucktard and snapping surface mount components off
They're pretty hardy.
/g/ is just autistic.
>>54644279
Not really. I bought a mid-range Gigabyte AM3 board in 2009 and it still works to this day, despite running overclocked 125W CPUs all its life (most recently a 1090T for a couple of months at 3.9GHz). I'd say that unless you get one that's faulty out of the box or buy the absolute cheapest piece of shit you can find, your board is likely to outlive its usefulness.
