This monitor has been $999 since it was first released back in July 2011. Steve Jobs was literally still alive at that time.
When is Apple going to finally give this thing a price drop for crying out loud?
>>54703020
>implying they do price drops on luxury products
>>54703020
never, retards kept buying it at the price they introduced. Why would they lower it?
>>54703020
Yea they don't do price drops. They know people will still buy it for $1k.
It's not a meme you can(should) use a Linux distro as your main OS.
It's 2016 Ubuntu has developed to be a desktop os and you cannot deny it.
I have made the change from Windows to ubuntu recently. I only miss Visual Studio but I run it inside a Win7 virtual machine.
Gaymen are also able to survive now. If you have the hardware you could even do VGA passthrough.

Are you able to write fizzbuzz from memory only?
>>54700153
>memory only
So, like... actually capable of basic programming?
>>54700153
FizzBuzz is used so frequently that every script kiddie has seen its source code a dozen times.
Can you write a program that stores minutes and seconds in a single integer?
I've never bothered to actually look what fizzbuzz was, i expected it would be something complicated

Specifications for the GTX 1070.
http://www.pcgamer.com/nvidia-posts-gtx-1070-specifications/
>The 1070 cuts the number of SMs from 20 down to 15, with a corresponding drop in shader cores. Combined with the lower clock speed, we're looking at 28 percent lower computational performance compared to the GTX 1080, but it's also still seven percent more computational performance than a stock 980 Ti.

I'm also waiting for 1070.
I have a 3440x1440 monitor, so non-ti 980 seems a bit weak. I hope 1070 will cost about the same and give 980ti performance.
>>54690871
Do gaymes make use of that aspect ratio? How much did the monitor cost you?
And the 1070 is around 400$. Lower than the 550$ 980ti.

For most fabric, with even a little bit of folding or wrong angling it'd be effectively impossible for a full picture.
Either way, far beyond what we can do.
Best old laptop (<$150) for linux and schoolwork, I prefer Linux mint 17.3 cinnamon, but feel free to recommend me some distros. The laptop atleast must be able to work and not slower than death.
