Should I go with the Skylake bandwagon or wait for a few months for the go for the Kaby Lake? Is there any difference in performance at all? I'm still using my 2500k, I know it's shit but it managed to get past my needs, definitely time for an upgrade though.
Get a 240/280mm AIO cooler and overclock the 2500k to 4.8ghz or higher.
Wait until cannonlake releases.
Wait for the Crystal Lake; it's going to be a killer.

Crystal lake?

the only thing thats going to save us from the isp jew
Pretty cool, but not yet at a critical mass in my area to justify getting into it. It's strange to think that there are in fact probably dozens of people who are thinking the exact same thing and it'll take some random event to get us all to buy in.
The same thing we thought 7 hours ago when you asked.

Why are Intel's iGPUs such complete shit?
They're not. They just aren't for playing games.
>>54748060
It's not. It's more than enough to handle any day to day task.
The competition is just better though.
Your question would be like Bill Gates asking why everyone is poor because he has so much money.
You're supposed to use that for light 3d and video playback, not for muh gaymen.

Why can CS majors not program?
This is a meme made up by "self-taught" trash.
Because college doesn't teach you how to do something practical. It teaches you, in theory, how to learn practical skills on your own. It's just that people don't bother.

If Jide can do it, what's stopping Canonical from porting android compatibility layer in their distro?
Jide just has a custom version of Android, not a desktop linux distro made compatible with Android.

That such coordination has always been garbage and thankfully we've never needed to make use of it. After the upgrade it will continue to be garbage and hopefully still not needed.
>>54747842
we really need to get windows 10 on those systems. just let the cloud take care of it
How powerful do nuclear weapon computers need to be exactly? Most of the tech is in the missiles themselves, I think. The computers basically handle the launch authorization, no?
have there ever been practical ways to make gawd awful gaymer shit into something useful?
i.e. this new faggot mouse. could an led screen on your mouse offer any benefits to computing at all?
>>54747827
aside from that LED screen being absolutely useless, this mouse is actually pretty great. the sidebutton placement is a lot more accessible than the previous iteration, the entire mouse comes apart relatively easily, the cable is removable, colors are customizable as well as able to be toggled, and the thing even has haptic feedback for games. sensor is using is also godtier. that is pretty fucking great for a hundred bucks.
>>54747827
>>54747891
Swappable sensor and changing the top plate sound more interesting to me. The cable is removable, and I like that a lot.
>>54747827
What mouse is this
If you're on stable branch, don't upgrade to Chrome 51 unless you like Material Design™
The height of the tab strip and URL bar is now 33% taller to accommodate tablet users on desktop OSes.
All button outlines have been removed as well.

Oh fuck me. I play tech support for my mom which means I'm about to get ten panicked phone calls at work over this. Is it already out?
