I am trying to make my own Android OS. The idea behind is that it will only run one application, my application. Right now I am deleting packages and apps that I obviously wouldn't need and would't serve any purpose to me.
I am wondering if anyone knows about any kind of documentation that would contain which package/app is dependent on another. So if I delete one, which other might be bothered by this.
Or any documentation whatsoever that would contain info about a package. Right now I am just googling everything that comes up.

For what purpose? If that one application isn't a web browser or an app store to get more APKs then it's utterly useless. Not even iShits are that bad.

Purpose is that the users won't be doing other shit on the tablet.

Why not use screen pinning?
Anyone else use this piece of shit?
Combine with xmobar and dmenu and you have based setup. It takes some effort to set up if you don't understand Haskell, and a little time to learn the keys, but tiling managers are the way to go.
I have a really wide screen, and don't want to make it vertical. Any good layouts people have designed / suggest?

I used to. But keeping up with upstream really annoyed me.
So I just dropped it.

What? Why?

If it works, and you don't like new features, then there is no need to update.
Yesterday I tried installing xmonad on Ubuntu MATE, but for some reason I was having trouble getting windows not to overlay onto xmobar. So I spent last night learning Haskell basics, and now editing the xmonad.hs configuration file is only 90% opaque. I don't know if I fixed the status bar issue yet, but will try again today.
In the mean time I added volume controls. I also wrote a xmobar configuration file...

Do any of you use openSuse Tumbleweed? Is there any reason not to use it if I don't need proprietary drivers? I don't have much time to fiddle with the terminal but want to have updated software without having to trust PPAs.
dude

Didn't Fortran actually do that?
you're supposed to use a font that differentiates between similar letters, like l and l, and O and 0.
Hey guys, my friend told me you all were hackers. Know where I can buy a botnet, or make one myself?

Is there a way I can keep my music folders in sync on my laptop and desktop? I have all my music downloaded and it's annoying constantly transferring files just to have the same music on both computers.

How much btc could I mine if I loaded discrete mining software onto every computer at my school
They're all probably made in about ~2006-2010, around 90% have no dedicated gpu, not very fast, don't have the exact specs on me.
hopefully enough to afford a good attorney. you won't not get caught.
>>55567770
If your IT team is doing their job that should be nearly impossible.
Also as a theoretical exercise the correct time to do this was five years ago, btc mining rates stink today.
You'll probably just get caught, I don't know if your IT team is as good as ours, but we caught someone trying to do this at my university. Dumb fuck was trying to farm Dogecoin.
Why aren't you running BOINC on your computer? It's not like you're using your computers to their full potential, anyway.
Once I get the second encode running I will be. Still working out how to fix this butchered Bluray.
