I work for a major tech website where people go to buy computer hardware, and I can recommend anything i want when someone comes in looking for a processor/graphics card (within reason)
recently i have been shilling hard for AMD, because i'd like to see what they can do with a little more cash heading their way, i might go back to nvidia once the aftermarket 1080s come out
I literally get paid in microbux™

I don't think anyone cares pajeet.
What program is that?
I have an illegitimate copy of Windows 7 on my PC. I want to legitimize it before Microsoft locks me out of my PC forever, but I don't want to shell out $130 for a real version of Windows 7. What other option is there??

Using a Gigabyte GA-X99-SLI myself, it's a nice no-nonsense board.
There are supposed to come out new SKUs now.
So that you don't a bios update.
And it feels gud guys. What are some pc parts you have in your builds that have phenomenal longevity?
>>54840183
why? its such shit.
>>54840284
It's pure bang-for-buck excellence. Cheap, sturdy, humongous OC potential, can play F4 or gta5 at 1080p mid/high settings and a comfy 50-60fps.
This card is pure gold.
>>54840317
gta 5 relys on cpu, fallout 4, well idk bout that one but considering my gtx 660 can run it on high yea this card is shit.
I heard that APU's can slave low end amd graphics cards in addition the the gpu cores already in the chip, but I'm struggling to find any proper information on it, where should I be looking?
>>54840118
It's a 1-5 FPS boost at best. Not worth the hassle.
>>54840118
it's not worth it, at all

What about computations? I am sure programmatically the performance increase is significant.

>there are groups of people out there willing to pay 2,000+ dollars for DAC's
LOL """audiophiles""" are so fucking retarded
>>54839980
DAC's are useful in some scenarios, but not nearly as often as they're used. Usually (read, on every laptop I have ever owned) the 3.5mm jack carries interference from other things on your system. Current laptop buzzes whenever I move a USB mouse. Using a DAC isolates your audio output from that interference with a clean digital signal removing buzzing. With all that said, if you're spending $300 on a DAC just because you bought into the snakeoil you should kill yourself.
How much should a good DAC cost?
I just use the one that's build into my screen.
There is some interference, but not nearly as much as plugging straight into the PC.

In other news water is wet

Manjaro KDE is shit
Get xfce if you want manjaro
Net edition is superior.
>>54839993
Manjaro's not trying to be Arch, though deep down the experience pretty much the same, those interested in more technical stuff, anyway. Its somewhat less bleeding edge and more stuff pre-installed that you would end up installing anyway (yaourt, for example.) Some features are nice too, such as mhwd for managing GPU drivers and separate kernel versions.
What is a good internet speed. Thinking about upgrading to 55mbps will this be good enough? Pic not related
How fast is fast?
What are you expecting or hoping for? 55 Mbps means about 6-7MB/s (that's Megabytes per second) sustained download potential so, figure out what you want and what you can afford then go from there.
Well that depends on what you use it for.
as a general rule 10mbps means 1 Megabyte per Second
50mbps is fine
>Monitor 1 has had the top corner go a greeny blue leading to a sort of screen burn/print.
>Second monitor just went the same way but its a full half thats gone green.
>The screen flickers from green to the restored color.
I think these ISP LED monitors are as good as dead, what brand and monitor type is best, and where do you shop for yours?.
My monitor just broke to well i took it apart and couldnt put it back together
Im looking at getting a 2560x1440 24inch, they any good? Asus vx24ah looks the best to me so far for the price
I have the SyncMaster SA100 and I prob want a new monitor because the display somehow moved about 1 cm to the left and now I have a black bar on the right side
Is there any way to fix a small chip in a LCD monitor?
It doesn't seem to affect the screen, it is fairly shallow and just on the plastic. It makes this annoying white dot
*rubs hands* I just requested a Cortex a72 dev board from ARM, wish me luck kids

Buy a new keyboard or laptop. Those keys are a bitch to remove for proper cleaning and the keyboard itself is usually a layer sandwich of shit.
Compressed air and a vacuum cleaner. You won't get it all, but at leas you tried.

you could use a high pressure washer
>remove from T42
>bring outside
>stick the whole unit between two cinder blocks
>powerwasher
