No, you only use something like 30%, actively, consciously, of your muscle fibers in everyday life including hard lifting.

In life-or-death situations, your brain overrides the signals sent to your muscles to move and utilizes 100% of your muscle group. 3x the strength and over, this is how people are in rare situations able to pick up cars to save children and guys sliding down hillsides with boulders on them can lift them over their heads and save their own lives - not without consequences. Usually it results in torn muscles, bruises, the normal for going literal APEMODE when your fight or flight response goes to DIE OR LIVE response.

>80% of 1RM recruit all the motor units

Then were next 20% come from?

>>Such examples, however, have not been proven and have been dismissed by doctors across the world. The extra strength is believed to come from adrenaline, though incidents are rare and never proven as there were no examinable evidence or witnesses;

Im european tho

Your brain doesnt allow you to use 100% of your strength, you have the power to literally break rocks in half, but your brain won't allow you to do it, because you don't want to break your bones.
>l know nothing and l must shitpost
>>
>>36306754
you're fucking retarded
you know what CNS activation is? noob gains
past that, the body would never fucking put on muscle if it could get away with just activating more fiber because it would be evolutionary advantageous not to use nutrients to make more muscles
no go be an idiot somewhere else or read a fucking book, moron

>>36306754
Please provide an actual citation with any evidence what so ever. Dot just something you heard at school from your mates
>>
>>36306739
>There is no research to support hysterical strength
>All of this is anecdotal and there are no witnesses to support any of the following stories

This is why you should bench press without a spotter. On the verge of death you recruit all muscle fibers and that results in extra gains. This is why most people suck at bp

>>36306237
No, they're drafted but can file as conscientious objectors

How do people like yourself function on a daily basis? The op asked a perfectly valid question, you attempt to insult him but can't even form a grammatically correct sentence.

Lel in life or death situations your adrenal system is stimulating your muscles to increase calcium release for stronger contractility
