Just something I've discovered - for the best pectoral activation in most situations, focus on the motion of bringing your elbows together. It is always good to visualize what motion your individual muscles actually create. Pic related - I'm on vacation right now, without access to weights, but I did 4x15 close-(grip?) pushups with this emphasis on swinging your elbows and got an insane pump before this photo. Mind-muscle connection is so important, feel that squeeze.

Any tips for activating shoulder blades? I got in a small accident which threw one of my shoulders back a bit, after the pain stopped I feel like I can no longer get an even lift

Damn bro you natty? Mirin

I also apply this idea of bringing my elbows together for exercises like incline dumbell press, barbell bench press, and cable flys. It increases both my strength and overall muscle activation (pump), as they are often intrinsically related in isolation exercises.

shoulder blades are bones and cannot be activated, if you've injured yourself you should see a doctor

i'm just trying to help some people bro, but you can justify your mediocrity by setting the natty bar as low as you want.

I broke my collar bone a few years back, can't activate the muscle fibers directly under it now... My left pec (Undamaged side) is now about a cm thicker than my right (broken side) Anyone else run into this problem and have advice or do I give up on humanity and become a mutant?

I forgot to add that my anterior deltoid and my right upper back compensate for the break, further distorting the potential symmetry

Shameful bump, has no one else really broken their clavicle?

Put your hand on the muscle and do work that should activate it.

Clavicle breaking should not cause nerve damage to pec motor nerves.
