>>
>>37923074
Meant 3 weeks for squats, my bad.
>>
Deadlift, first day. (I deadlifted 3pl8)
Squat, first day. (I squatted 2pl8 after 2 weeks)
Bench press, first day. ( I bench pressed 2 pl8 after 3 months)
Overhead press, 5 months, easily the hardest of all to see decent progress.

>The OHP Is the real test of who the normies are
>>
I started out as a massive lanklet as well OP. 6'2" and 135 lbs. I'm 170 lbs now after a little over a year lifting.

>DL
Not very long, a couple of weeks at most. But my form was absolute shit, I had no idea how to actually deadlift properly for months. Still felt good man.

>Bench
Probably 3 months. I distinctly remember being really proud when I put those 2 45s on for a full set. Also felt good man.

>Press
Still haven't got there and I've been lifting for about a year now. My current working weight is 105. Again though my form was/possibly is absolute shit so it's a work in progress.

>Squat
IIRC it was like 2 months of squatting every session 5x5. The first month was absolute torture, I think my legs were the most lacking of any muscle group. Barely being able to squat 100lbs felt pretty pathetic. Feels really good warming up with 135 now though, I think of all my lifts the squat progression feels the most noticeable. 135 was an incredible struggle at first and now I seriously barely even feel it.

Good luck OP, getting strength gains as a lanklet is actually surprisingly tough. No disrespect meant to our chubby brothers ofc but the path we walk is very different.

DL: day 0

Bench: 1 week? Idk I felt like I've been doing it forever

150 lbs 5' 9". T-levels <200 ng/dl, Estradiol 60 (whatever units, above normal)

The only reason a reasonably healthy person can't do what >>37922687 posted is because they're not pushing themselves. Although to get 1pl8 OHP I had to train till failure every day.
>>
>everyone in this thread saying it took them a couple months or weeks to hit 2pl8 squat

Am i imagining things? I rarely see people squat more than 2pl8 in my 3.5 years of lifting. The ones who, reguarly, are either big ass athletes or ppl that probably roid. THOSE people can squat 2pl8 or 3pl8 no problem; its impressive and clean as fuck. Everyone else I've seen try to squat as heavy looks suspect as fuck.
>>
>>37923370
I've never done sports in my life, shitty genetics, etc., never done squats in my life and went from 85 to 190 in two months. I think it's very possible.

how long did it take you all to get your first muscle up?
>>
>>37923370
If you start with old mate Ripptoe you can easily do it.
>>
>>37923370
I don't get it either desu. Could be everyone on /fit/ is actually really that jacked. I do see people squat that much sometimes at the gym I go to but they're always obviously trained as fuck and very experienced, you know the fatstrong types with thighs the size of your chest.

Ironically none of the guys who are obviously on juice really squat at all. They deadlift 5+ plates and spend 3 hours doing various isolations but never squat.
>>
>>37923218
Nice to hear m8. Being a skinny fat sucker is shit. I literally had no strength when I started I couldn't even make a push up. Can go 40 solid reps now in one set. Also started squating with the bar alone, same with bench press. I'm seeing lil improvement week to week. Confidence is up also self-esteem, body looks better, more defined. Can't wait to see results after one year.

Nah that is pretty easy, you can tell they are lying by their OHP.

If you eat right, train hard and focus on form and addressing your weaknesses in an organized, consistent manner than it's doable
it takes effort and dedication though

Just do a 5x5 program, you squat three times a week (12 times a month).

If you start just from bar being a weak babby and go in a month with a dedicated 5x5, you'll be at 105, then another month you're at 165, then another month and you're at 2pl8.

You add 5 lbs every workout, eat right, and sleep right and you're golden. Most people you see at the gym don't lift for strength they lift for conditioning. They're not going all-out as opposed to someone who lifts purely to lift big weight.

Plus, strength =! size
>>
>>37923602
I did a 5x5 program and ended up injuring myself at the pace suggested.

That being said, I could have eaten better and my gf doesn't let me sleep as much as I want to. So the gains goblins were sapping my strength the entire time. It most likely would have been possible if not for that.

That kind of progress is still very impressive though. Progress is not linear - I think it's fair to say that squatting 2pl8 is outside the realm of noob gains.
>>
kys if you can't lift any of those on day 0 you dna plague
>>
>squatting 2pl8 is hard
What the fuck, really guys? I went from never squatting before in my life to 2pl8 in a couple weeks of SL.
>>
>>37923370
Because nobody actually trains to improve their squat. You can ride SS all the way to 3 plate squats if you actually eat and try.

The big three should only take you a couple weeks at the max

Press will take a while. Delts are notoriously slow to train

You don't have to be big to squat 3 plates.
I'm 6'1" at about 200 pounds with a pretty high BF, squat 3 plates A2G and DL just shy of 4.5 plates. I might be bigger than average but nowhere near big.

DL: Did 4pl8 day 0

If you can grab groceries from the ground i don't see how you cant lift 4pl8. (no point lifting if your genetics are shit)

BP: Day 0 again if you can lift yourself from bed this should be ez

OHP: I went to a few concerts really had to raise those hands there so 2pl8 was ez

Squat: Occasionally take the stairs when elevator is not working (about once a year) so 3pl8 was a pretty safe start for me
>>
>>37924851
I don't know how to explain this either, it a YMCA pretty close to base but I can tell they are military
