Every gram of carbohydrates is four calories. Does the jam have twice the amount of calories posted on its label, or is half the carbs indigestible?

I think it has something to do with dietary fiber
Fiber is basically zero calories. Beyond that, they round as much as they legally can in order to make it seem "healthy".
Inb4 200 posts of autistic arguing
(Total carbs - fiber) * 4 yields the calories from carbohydrates.

theres the fiber, and companies aren't required to put the exact amount of calories. they round.

They flat out lie, too. Straight up, many products have been found to have more calories than listed

Sugar free jelly? How the fuck does that even work?
5g carbs
3g fiber
fiber is indigestible
5-3=2g of actual digested carbs
2g*4=8 calories
they rounded up to 10
