I was like that too anon. Candito's 6 week training program got me out of that squat plateau, so now my squat and deadlift are within 50 pounds. (They both went up, but squat went up more for me).

405, especially if you aren't a big-framed guy, can take a couple years to get to. Yeah, most average-sized people should be able to get there, but it still takes a lot more consistent effort and good programming than a couple of months of SS. Its a decent weight.
That being said, strength is one of those things that once you build it, sticks around pretty well.
