Progressively more and more calories. This is simply solved by increasing your liquid calories (think protein shakes, mass gainers, smoothies, milk) and I believe butters are technically considered to be liquids as well (peanut butter, almond butter, actual butter).

Sometimes I think hardgainers are just people who haven't heard of peanut butter. 2 TBSP is 200 calories... it's delicious, easy to eat. Spoon it right out of the jar. Wash it down with milk. Easy 500 calories right there - I really don't understand.

Progressively heavier sets of 5 on:

squats
deadlifts
rows
pull-ups
bench presses
overhead presses
calf raises

long ass sets of weighted planks
broomstick twists during entire episodes of (insert 30m - 60m netflix show here)
progressively more difficult ab wheel rollouts

progressively heavier and/or faster bursts of prowler pushes and/or sled drags

progressively faster hill sprints

periodically (sometimes just for fun) things like overhead lunges, suitcase carries/farmer walks, volume curls and/or volume tricep extensions, max sets of push-ups, barbell complexes, burpees, m-100's (youtube this)

Lifting is so easy and simple, sometimes I wonder how there is even message boards and clubs/groups for it. Sometimes I wonder how trainers even make money. But then I come here and chuckle at a few joke topics, and I realize that 99.9% of the RESISTANCE people have with lifting, like hardgainers, is MOTIVATION.

Once that problem is solved, there is really no such thing as hard gainers. Skinny guys need to eat more, fat guys need to eat less, everyone needs to stretch and sleep.
