First off, people that are taller have ALOT more leeway in how much they can cheat. Simply because of how your TDEE scales with height.
5 lbs of fat on someone that is 6'2 isn't a big deal. But 5 lbs of fat on someone that is 5'4 will wreck there physique.
Also shorter men basically have a duty to stay as lean as possible all the time. If we put on just a little fat it just ruins our physique. Tall guys don't have that problem.
Also it isn't any easier to make gains if your short. Literally no fucking difference. And it doesn't even take that much longer.
Look at it like this. Two lifters. One 5'4, one 6'2. Both a starting BMI of 22. Which if lacking significant muscle mass can look pretty fucking skinny. As it would tend too in a untrained individual.
The 5'4 lifter will start out at 130lbs while the 6'2 lifter starts out at 170lbs.
Assuming both are natty. The 5'4 lifter has a maximum potential of about 160lbs at 10% bodyfat. Meaning this lifter has to put on roughly 30lbs to hit his natty max. At an FFMI of 23.72
Meanwhile a 6'2 lifter has a maximum potential of 205lbs at 10% bodyfat. Meaning he has to put on 35lbs to hit his max. Sporting an FFMI of 24.22
In the end the 5'4 lifter has 145.8lbs of lean mass. And the 6'2 lifter has nearly 185lbs of lean mass.
In the end, it doesn't fucking matter. They both make gains the same. And they both how to gain a similar amount to hit the natty limit.
