Hungry skeleton distance runner and cyclist my whole life. Doing less now and going to start focusing on the gym. Now entering skinnyfat mode because I still eat like a savage but I'm not burning 1000s of calories everyday anymore.

Need to get disciplined on the diet.

Also have a bum wrist so I can't do any pushing exercises. Shit lads, I don't think I'm going to make it.

Decided to try to bulk now that I was lean because I figured at my size an aggressive bulk would be mainly muscle.

I was wrong and am now living the PSMF life to cut the fat back off in 3 weeks. Would love to hear results or advice from anyone else who's done a PSMF.

As far as diet goes i just track my calories and protein, i get at least a gram of protein per pound of body weight. And intake can be as high as 3600 calories during season. Carbs stay pretty high and fats pretty low. Hope that helps

I highly recommend switching to a lean bulk, I very much regret my dirty bulk it was mainly fat gain. A 1000k surplus is just gonna be an extra 500 cals sent directly to your waist if your experience goes anything like mine.

If you cut, you'd look pretty okay, but add another 10-15lbs or so and cut and you'll look pretty great I'd say. You've clearly got a decent body already, just slightly too high bf% for it to show well.

Your posture looks way out of wack too, I'd work on that.

I didn't notice your shoulder, but there's no one routine that will fix it, it could be any number of muscles causing it. I personally have really tight hamstrings, which causes issues all the way up my back, from pelvic tilt to sharp pains over my scapula, in my rhomboids. You should see a physio, they'll get you to do some basic movements and then judge where the issue comes from and give you a routine.

I'd recommend doing this as soon as you can, too, because bad posture turns into lifting injuries super quickly.

I've got major tight hamstrings I think; SLDLs give really bad stiffness for up to a week. And my shitty lower body numbers are from low back pain which, based on what you're saying, is maybe from hamstring fuckery too.

Yeah, if you're getting lower back pain with it from stuff like squats and deads then it's probably the same shit I had. You might also have some weak stabilisers that need to be worked on, because other muscles have taken the strain that should be going to them (do you ever notice shakiness when squatting? Weakness around the knees?).

I'd definitely say whatever it is that a physio is a great idea, it's not said enough how useful seeing one can be here I think. Good luck anon.

And yeah, absolutely, iron deficiency impacts your hemoglobin levels, which is what carries oxygen around the body. It's why blood doping is a thing in cardio sports, it increases their red blood cell levels, resulting in increased hemoglobin and ability to move oxygen around, and increased performance as a result.

Take a supplement if you're not already, or just make an effort to eat more iron rich foods.

Can you just take over the counter ones? I always just take a few of those instead of bothering with prescription dosages, but it might be easier to just get the ones from your doctor. Iron deficiency is really easy to deal with, I wouldn't worry about it at all past getting some supplements.

I just do a lot of dumbbell shrugs, though I lead forward slightly to try and engage the lower part of the traps. Maybe some barbell shrugs would do me good, I can't do upright rows easily due to shoulder impingement. ;-;
