Vacation is 2 weeks. Im probably gonna go both weeks.

I want to lift, but I would like a bit of a deload just because my body has started to feel kind of shite after 7 or so weeks of TM + butt loads of accessories.

I also dont wanna spend a ton of time training if I'm on vacation with my family because it is in a pretty secluded place, gyms are few and far between, and the ones that exist have shitty equipment and are not really supportive of the IRON LYFE.

Hanging in there, trying to get a solid schedule for the fall but priority registration for established students closed up most of the classes. Might be a blessing to only have to deal with a single programming class while getting back into the swing of school.

Training on a surplus is a blast though, going to milk this linear progression as long as I can.

M: Squat 5x5, Bench 5x5 (+back extensions, chinups)

W: Squat 2x5 light, OHP 3x5 light, deadlift 1x5

F: Squat 1x5 heavy, Bench 1x5 heavy, Pendlay row 3x5

Bench and OHP workouts swap each week.

I've started working 50-60 hours a week and it's hard to get through a full workout after the day. Also start work early so I can't workout before then.

I'm thinking about splitting the three workouts into a 5 day split:

M: Bench 5x5

T: Squat 5x5

W: OHP 3x5 light, deadlift 1x5

F: Bench 1x5

S: Squat 1x5, Pendlay row 3x5

Bench and OHP workouts switching each week. Probably throwing in accessories on M,T,F, depending on how I feel.

I'm wondering if having less recovery, both between workouts and overall, would affect progression, both week to week and overall.

you will probably recover more this way. you're keeping the same total volume but splitting it into more days, which is easier.
unless you start thinking "oh i feel good i'm going to do a whole bunch of extra useless shit", then you're increasing the volume and could affect recovery.

Depends on your schedule. It's rather unnecessary to add an extra day per week for some deadlifting if you can handle deadlifting after squats, unless you want to make that day centered around deadlifting+back work.
I deadlifted after the paused squats on day 3 of the Squat 3x Int/Adv program. I also added RDLs after Squats day 1.

Performance-wise, I find it more convenient to deadlift after low-rep squats or paused squats than higher rep squats.

I see no reason to not do some back work every time you're are the gym with these programs tbH (unless you add that one day with deadlifting+back work, in which case twice or thrice per week with back work is probably sufficient). Vary the back work to keep it fresh, in that you alternate between rows and pullups and vary the loading and reps. The pic shows some suggestions on how to program accessories such as back work, and is from Nuckols.

I had a dream with you in it last night

It was really weird. I went to some nerd camp by the seaside in Wales. And it ws with three other people, you were one of them. And the flat we were put up in was horrendously dirty like the previous occupants had got drinks stains all over the walls and ceilings. But luckily they'd also left a load of bb guns behind too. So that was some fun.

Anyway the nerd camp was all about sailing and it was being instructed by a guy from my gym who taught me how to bench in the shirt. And I impressed (but not really impressed, more like outed myself as a nerd) everyone with my knowledge of trigonometry for calculating sail angles.

And then in the evening I was going to come to your room for a platonic cuddle but then I woke up.

Squat:150->140 (Played around with form a bit)
Bench:80->85
Deadlift:140->150


Second cycle BW:63->64
Squat:140->152,5 (Went with old form,150 moved a lot better than it used to)
Bench:I'll test that tomorrow,as of now I have an estimated max of 87,5
Deadlift:150->155

Are you doing any conditioning? You might want to work on your explosive strength if you are grinding out reps all the time. So when you are doing your light weights you need to do them faster and really push out of the bottom like you are jumping to your feet

Yeah I've read Deadlift Dynamite by Andy Bolton aswell regarding explosive strength. Usually build in some paused skwots aswell. It's not really grinding at -80% 1rm, it just feels quite hard.
